So i guess the game is good. Not great but not horrible.

"It's not the "ultimate" in Mortal Kombat by any means - that arguably could go to the 1996 mash-up release of Mortal Kombat Trilogy."

That shows IGN's stupidity right there. They called MKT the ultimate MK, when UMK is the better, less broken game.

But it's funny how they call pullers "asshats", because that's exactly what they are, lol.

But anyway, I hear, aside from the lag you can get (Which pops up during XBLA UMK as well), DS UMK is everything as good as the 360 version. People say that the D-Pad works better than 360's would, but the buttons are just small, so it poses a problem with big hands.

Exactly ^^, IGN and gamespot know nothing when it comes to MK...their ignorance is laughable...

The game noticed the fan ratings are like 9.0+ higher...grin

They probably play the fighting game for its single player mode, which is not really what its meant to be since its an arcade game, which needs more than 1 person, but I guess single player is ok with puzzle kombat.

Calling MKT the Ultimate in MK is probably just because it has all the characters, most of the stages, musics, etc, and it did sell a lot of copies, but it's hard to make general gamers understand what it is to be a solid, playable, competitive game. To most people it just doesn't matter and that's sad.
