Midway Arcade Treasures 2 is just around the corner. Is everyone realy excited aboout it, or do you have mixed feelings about it? I am a little of both. I am excited to have 20 classic games for $20 including MKII, I am however a little skeptical about MK3. The trailer still shows shots from UMK3, and even on Midway.com they have this same issue brooing. So I am a little bit of both. I really don't want 2 copies of MK3, but what can I do except complain, so I realy won't. Anyway, what are your thoughts? Only a few more weeks away.

I am definitly disappointed, no MK1, no UMK3, and games such Arch Rival, A.P.B or Wacko ect. are probably for some guys that played that games as there was childs cool, but for me there are not very interesting.
Primal Rage, NARC, Total Carnage and Rampage World Tour are ok, but Pit Fighter is the worstest fighting game I ever played.
And I really dont get the point why they doesnt get them Online, ive heard on the XBOX ver. you can upload your Highscores, why they dont put in Online play in there too?

Disappointed about not having UMK3.... But I am freakin pumped for MK2 and 3! Besides, it's just another promo for those who like the classics to invest in MKD.

it will be a beautiful thing. not only MKII and MK3 but 18 other games as well. i still have hope that UMK3 will be a secret or something.
An arcade-perfect MK II already had me sold! Sure 99% of us here have it on MAME, but it's different to play it on a console. Also, don't forget, supposedly "The Making of MK3" will be on there as well... although we're not sure if it's THE "Making of", or if it's a newly made one. I'd really like to see behind the scenes stuff for MK II though... maybe we'll get the commercial though, that'd be good enough

MAT2 will be awesome, because we'll be able to play the games on a huge widescreen tv, and in beautiful high-resolution color as well.

There is no slowdown or audio problems in Mame84. The slowdown is processor speed limitations, the audio problems are probably in 64, and that is because of a certain method of emulation they used, where audio refresh rate is 60 mhz, and the gameplay is 53 fps. On the newer mames, they went back to the old way of emulating the sound which still has a slight delay, but no scrambling.

Mame32 is cool too, but Mame in itself is still a pain in the ass compared to playing MK on a console. Can't wait!

I don't believe that. I've got a Dual 1.8ghz PowerMac G5 with a Gig of RAM! There's no way it should be having slowdown issues due to lack of processor speed.

OKay MKI is not on MAT2, but do you only get the special edition of MKD through pre ordering it or can you get either version when it comes out?
I believe I read that both versions will be available on October 4th (or 5th). However, as far as we know, the 2-disc editions are limited editions... so it's best if you pre-order a copy. Wasn't there some news a while back that there would be one of those "plug-and-play" controllers that you could hook up to a TV that would have the original MK?
