I was put down on Quan Chi's fatality in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance because it was so unsatisfying for Quan Chi fans. Quan Chi was a co-boss in that game and he could have had something more original and unique rather then watching someone's neck stretch like a string of spaghetti.
Quan Chi had possesion of a powerful amulet, and he was a practitioner of black magic, there could have been many fatalities that suited better for Quan Chi. It was very disapointing to see such a fatality assigned to such a dark and evil character, it seemed as a mockery to the character in regards to his essense.
But I could understand why such a fatality would be in a Mortal Kombat game. Deadly Alliance had a due date that was pushed back from 2001 to 2002, I believe Midway did not have enough time to add everything that they wanted. I believe Quan Chi was a character that was not fully polished in the final release of the game and the fatality that was assigned to him was probably programmed in a matter of minuets.

I tended to not like many of the fatalities in MK DA with Quan Chi being one of them. It just seemed to me that very little thought went into some of them.
Has anyone seen the video in MK artwork called "Baraka's Demise?" Anyway, in it, Quan Chi uses his sorcerey to kill Baraka. That should have been his fatality. I think Quan Chi's fatality was meant as a huge joke!
