Are you sure Kung Lao was there. If you are talking about the intro, that was actually Shang Tsung. But it's not like Kung Lao HAS to be there everytime Lui Kang practiced. Maybe Kang decided to practice alone early in the morning and that's when Shang and Quan appeared. Besides it's not like Kung Lao knew that they were coming to kill Kang, so it's not like he hid somewhere on purpose and wait till Shang and Quan killed Lui kang.

Well it's a little hard to be responsible for something when you aren't around to do anything about it.

no if you look closely at the video you will see that kung lao was there with lui kang from the beginning. Please go back to the game and see that.

Dude! Like, three people have told you that there was no Kung Lao with Liu kang in the intro! It was SHANG TSUNG morphed into Kung Lao! Read man, read! As a matter of fact, you can actually see Shang Tsung morph back into his normal self. You don't really get to see him do it, but it's only like a split second, when Liu Kang is in front of the camera and the camera rotates in front of him and you see "Kung Lao" in background then it passes Liu Kang and if you look in the back it's Shang Tsung.

You gota look closer. There are 2 times where kung lao appears. There is a first time and a second time. Its hard to concieve that Lui Kang didnt see him the first time. Please think about it and read my words carefully.

OMG! Ok In the intro, you see who apparently seems to be Kung Lao, but you see it is Shang Tsung morphed into Kung Lao. He is Kung Lao the first time and the second. And of course Lui Kang saw him, he didn't do anything because he thought he was Kung Lao. It's not like SHang Tsung walked to the platform and then morphed. YOU gotta look closer.

Oh okay so Kung Lao was shang tsung the first time too. OK I see now. OK
