Is there a physical attraction between Liu Kang and Kitana?

Now, before you guys start calling me an idiot, here me out. Since we've all seen the reasons why deep down they love each other. (Kitana sees Liu Kang as a symbol of hope and viceversa.) But we've never exactly seen just what started Liu Kang and Kitana to fall in love. Of course there was that really stupid moment in Shaolin Monks:

(Kitana fan lifts Liu Kang and Kung Lao.)
Liu Kang: You're beautiful!
Me: Um... Liu Kang, she just hit you... sorta...

But considering that it's assume that Liu Kang was the earthrealm warrior that Kitana was secretly talking to (who Mileena saw her with, no doubt) but... I imagine that what started them off was something of a physical attraction. Such as... Liu Kang probably finds Kitana as very beautiful and Kitana finds Liu Kang as being very handsome. (or to be more blunt... both find each other to be the hottest thing they've ever seen... yeah, that's a bit dirty, but you know what? Sue me.)

I'd pay to see just exactly what started these two on their little love story? Was it physical attraction? Was it some deep meaning or whatever in their hearts? They really need to develop more on this.

We actually haven't seen that. They never really said why exactly Liu and Kitana seemed to like each other. The whole hope thing is speculation based on what is known about the characters.

Anyway, I suppose Liu is/was attracted to Kitana upon first meeting her. Being a Shaolin monk, he probably knew very few women. And probably even fewer who looked like Kitana. Now I know he met Sonya first but, either Johnny Cage called dibs or Liu just digs the raven-hair.

I'm sure Kitana finds Liu attractive, but I can't imagine he's the best looking man she's ever met in 10,000 years. If he is, that says something about the men in Outworld.

Anyway, I don't think their relationship was just some sudden thing like: PRESTO, we're each others' soul mates.
It was more likely something that just grew over the time they knew each other throughout MK2 and 3. Based on physical and personality equally.

LOL.... but... when you think about it... We've seen that Outworld's men consists of an Emperor with 4 eyes (Yeah, they actually got that right when it came to unmasking Shao Kahn), Tarkatan warriors with nasty teeth, A raptor, and a sorcerer, who I'm sure Kitana was repulsed by. And some villagers who I doubt Kitana really cared for. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, but whatever.

Uh...anyway...lol, I'm sure there is a physical attraction between the two. I mean, I guess Kitana finds Liu Kang to be handsome and as for Kitana, well, she's a hot assassin turned hot princess who wants Liu to be with her for some fine lovin' under the fire. OH YEAH! grin grin

ahem..anyhoo...uh...grin tongue

I mean, um, yeah, I'm sure Liu Kang finds her to be beautiful. Maybe it was love at first sight sort of thing, but more so, I'm sure it was something that slowly and subtly developed.

Considering Shao Kahn's choice of people to associate with (monsterous dinosaurs, demons with teeth that would make a dentist commit suicide, people who're so self-conscious they have to wear masks everywhere they go, aging shape-shifters, centaurs, four-armed hydra-like people, and the ugliest bunch of pot-bellied, middle-aged men that were featured in Konquest as being in Kahn's militia), there's no doubt in my mind that Kitana would go to the first decent-looking face she could find. grin

Um I've never seen a picture of Kahn with four eyes...why would he wear a mask that covers two of them? BTW to my knowledge this is the only known picture of Shao Kahn without his mask on.



I don't see the other eyes...maybe they're closed? wink
Oh ok. It just kinda looked like he had four eyes in MK:SM. Must be my imagination.
