I like using him a lot when playing MK II because nobody seems to choose him. I didn't like him in MK 3/UMK3/MKDA, though.

I like him in UMK3T. I thought he looked cool and played cool even if I never could use him effectively.

I like Jax from Mortal Kombat II, all the way. In matter of fact, I use Jax a lot.

Jax had me at the giant food stomp.

Seriously though, Jax is fuckin gay. He was especially gay with his bling in MKDA. God that game sucks.

i liked jax, i always thought he was a great character, had a great story and was very powerful.

i guess many people hate him because he's somewhat a stereotype.

now, i dont aggree at all with that, but... bleh, whatever, let people think what thewy want, it's they're own opinion.

jax from mk:da in my opinion was the best, finally, no spray painted metal arms, looks alot more realistic then ever... strange how cybernetic implants on arms can look real... (o_0)... (0_o)!!!

Jax is the 2nd best character in MK2, and for that matter 2nd most chosen in high level competion, casuals you won't find people picking him cause they don't know how to abuse his tactics since he seems clunky but he is a monster.

In UMK3 he is generally considered # 10, which is within the top third percentile, and in MKT he's a few notches down cause other characters added beat him out but I still think he manages to reach top 3rd. He can be a powerhouse in it as well in the right hands and can work around some of the cheaper tactics of the teleporters by back breakering them on TPs etc, and just playing perfectly against Kabal, which is tough.

I really only got into him in the last year or so, but I have learned his abusiveness in UMK3 is demonic at times.

Jax was always one of those "love him or hate him" guys in earlier MK's from my memory. I was pretty good with him, but I knew quite a few people who could use everyone else well, but were hopeless with Jax.

Jax has gone downhill since MK2/MK3. His storyline's basically been reduced to "guy who tags along with Sonya, probably carrying her luggage", and I really didn't like his stereotyped MKDA makeover.
I liked him in MKII better. His moves, especially those missile attacks, in MK3 were wack. MK3 is where everyone lost their way, and decided to go cyber.

His backbreaker was so badass; I love nailing people with that in MKII. Like an air throw, but even better because you land pretty close to them and you can keep up the pressure. Plus I loved how you could jump kick a standing opponent, and then nail a backbreaker BEFORE THEY HIT THE GROUND... it made no sense but it was awesome. MKII Jax in Trilogy was unbelievable, that midair wave punch they gave him was amazing. He could do some Mileena-style combos with it (deep jumpkick, midair wave punch, hit them with something else when you land). Combine that with the backbreaker and MKII Jax just rules the air in that game.

I had forgotten about MK2 Jax in MKT also, I am not particularly good with him but I do really enjoy using him. There is something about this midair projectile that I love, along with the backbreaker. I also love how they mimicked MK3 Jax's combo with the heart punch at the end of MK2 Jax's combo.

And, of course, the number one reason to love MK2 Jax in MKT, the Blood Fountain.

Hey technically speaking, what was the input for MKII Jax's air projectile? I always do diagonal down+forward and press HK. But MK doesn't really use diagonals for special moves, right? Was this the one exception to the rule?

I like Jax during Mortal Kombat 2. He was a great character to play as. I loved his HP move that leaves the opponent dazed after performing his move. The Gotcha grab got me out of alot of tight situations while I was boxed into corners and Jax's Back Breaker move is highly effective.

Though I never really got into Mortal Kombat 3 I only picked either Jax, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, or Kung Lao and played as them. Jax was one of the only characters I managed to do fine with, due to his throw combo where he slams you multiple times on the ground.

Jax is da man!!! but we could do without the purple tights confused. and he should leave guns and batons to Stryker wink...... and bling to Darrius.... wait a second, angry black guy hanging out with a white chick, a machine gun, big necklaces, and backwards hats... what the hell kind of stereotype is that!!??
