They seem to dominat twice in their history. Confused. Let me explain.
Just in my humble opinion, in conjuxtion with the major mk games, boses get to be bosses twice.
For example
Shang tsung had ultimate power twice: MK1 and MK5
shao khan twice: MK2 and MK3
and quan chi twice: Mk4 (somewhat) and mk5
now, my question is, from past mk bosses, do you think shinnok will get to rule again? ( is this happens, then every bad guy boss has ruled twice.)

Nah, I don't think so. Everyone knows Shinnok is hated by fans so much that he has a very low chance of being let back in MK.

oh I always had that thought in mind. (about shinok)

Quan chi did have significant power in mk4, but i don't think he could really be called a boss.
I guess he would have been sorta a sub boss in a way, if goro wasn't there.
As far as shinnnok goes, i hope he's never even considered for future games.
In my opinion he's the worst boss ever.
In fact i'd rather have reiko or stryker return as a boss.

I agree Quan was no boss in MK4. Shinnok was the boss of Mythologies. Shang was kind of a boss in MK2- well not a boss but always in the same before Kintaro/or secrect character.
Goro wasn't in the arcade version of MK4 and Quan Chi wasn't Sub-boss, there just isn't one.
In the home versions of MK4 if you play Two on Two in one player Quan Chi is always Shinnok's partner. I guess you could say he is a boss in that. Then again, Cage is always Goro's partner so Cage would be a boss too.
Shang is a boss in MK II. Even though he's normally playable. After all, Shinnok is normally playable in MK4 and Chi & Tsung are in DA.

Quan is a sub boss in MKM and in MKDA and I guess if you strech it that way MK4. Again, Shang was a sub boss in MK2 as well.
