I just finished my first ever combo video, and it turned out pretty well I think...
Like the thread title says, it's comprised of combos from MK1/2/3/UMK3, but the main focus is on UMK3 combos (of course
)
You can download it here: krsx66'svid
It's 59MB's, 9:32mins and wmv format
I'd like to say a big thankyou to ]{0MBAT and CCShadow for hosting it at 'The Kombat Pavillion' and Dreemernj with helping set up the program I needed to record the clips w/.
Hope you guys enjoy, and plz leave any comments good, bad or suggestions for improvement in this thread...

That's great man. I really like that Kabal combos. The MK1 combos were cool to watch, too. Although a lot of the combos wern't that hard to do. And at times, the video ran a little choppy.

Pretty nifty stuff. Its a good start. I'm not sure what you are going for with all the standard autocombos with few additions though. A few things to note are, in UMK3, all the sweeps (except the one with Cyrax where they bounce in the air off of it) at the ends of combos are blockable and that particular 98% smoke combo was blockable in the video (the second of the 2 roundhouses happened after Sheeva touched the ground) but it is possible to do it unblockable because MK3 had such broken corner roundhouses. Also, that first Kabal combo is blockable during the rapid punches at the beginning and after the ground blade, unfortunately your opponent can always block any attack after a ground blade.
Not bad for a first vid.
U might wanna get a friend to hold block during the kombos, as I'm sure many were blockable.
I enjoyed the MK kombos, cos I've never seen a vid for one yet.
Only one I've made on Genesis which was completely broken.
Keep it up.

Yeah MK1 kombo vids arent really around. MK2KB was working on one and I started doing some kombos in the game too, but its just kinda boring
Yeah I know what u mean, but there is some good stuff there, well on the Genesis, with scorpion U can do a 100% kombo ending in his Fatality, looks really cool, as the screen goes dark during the last frames of the kombo.
If you're making a genesis one, let me know, I can provide u with some kombos.

Definitely a good start, hopefully you will continue to improve as you go along. DreemerNJ and I had previous editing experience to the combo so it helped a lot. Thanks for the credits as well.
The MK1 video is not dead, it still might happen, but not before the UMK3 morph video. Once DreemerNJ gets his new computer I think we'll give it some serious thought this way he can just record combos and send them to me rather than replays, or the raw concepts. Any way you slice it, there will be another UMK3 video probably in the next couple months, and definitely an MK video if someone doesn't beat us to it. 60% standard combos in the game are pretty easy, we'll also show off a lot of the previous version brokenness that was fixed. Here is a big Johnny Cage combo from the last official release:Johnny Cage MK1 90%

Thankyou everyone for the comments, I glad you guys like it, and I'm also appreciative of the criticism - cus of course I wanna get better.
Now, about the autocombos/not really difficult combos: I forgot to add this to my first post, I had them in there just cus I liked the way they looked, and they did relatively high damage, so Ieft em in. They were some of the first I recorded, just to get an idea of how everything worked, so ones such as the Kung Lao auto and Sheeva auto were left in just cus I thought they looked cool - plus they did 46% and 53% respectively. Now, for the autocombos with minor additions such as sweeps etc. They were usualy done for characters I didn't really know cool combos for. Mileena's is a good example of this. I wanted to get at least one combo for evey UMK3 character, so I ended up using quite a few autocombos with minor add ons to increase the damage. I used a few too many actualy, and was a little disappointed that I did.
About the blockable combos, well, I would like my friends to help me out by blk'ing to find out if they can be blk'ed but most of my friends don't like MK period, let alone an MK from 1995/6! But for the next UMK3 vid, hopefully I'll persuade someone to help me out...
Finaly, my next vid is actualy going to me an MK1 vid! I had never seen one, so before my evalution of Camtasia finishes, I plan to make a MK1 vid. It will only be short, so it wont be anything on the one MK2KB and Dreemer are creating. I just want to try one out, probably have a few combos for each character, then have another section featuring combos from the 'prototype version'. If anyone has played it, well there are plenty of combo opportunities
Anyway, thanks again, I'm taking all this in so my vids in the future will get better

One last thing, Taker, I'd like to play you anytime. Problem is, I never see anyone on mame wanting to play umk3 etc. I've played one MKO'er since I set up mame, and that was BustaUppa a little while ago. We had some good games, so I'd really like to play some more MKO users. Just seems I'm never on when u guys are... Perhaps we need to set up something, I dunno what yet, to get more MKO'ers playing against each other...
