As all of you know MAT2 was supossed to be released in PAL countries yesterday (29-10-2004). So gamestores should have had the game this week. Now I lve in the Netherlands and I ordered the game a few weeks ago at a gamestore. They told me that they should have gotten the game in the week of it's release. They didn't get it. They checked the list of games they will get in the next 2 weeks. MAT2 isn't on it. (MK:Deception was however and they will get it on november 5th). Does anybody know what is going on with the PAL version of MAT2 and if it will even be released here anymore? Is it just the Netherlands or is it every PAL country that has this problem?

I saw MAT2 in Vienna yesterday for 30 Euro........

Haven't seen MAT2 anywhere as well, and it was removed from the official PS2 website for my country. It was on the "released this month" list and now it's no longer there...
Delays would be nice if they were fixing the MK2 Can't Play Smoke bug but I don't think that's what's happening.

Well I bought it here in the UK on the 29th. I had to go looking for it though as GTA: San Andreas was overshadowing everything else. In the end there were no copies of MAT2 on shelves so I wondered if it had been put back, so I asked at the counter and they said "yes, it's out, here it is" and got me a copy from the cupboard. It was only £14.99 !!!
When I got home of course I was a bit disappointed at the flickering shadows on both MK 2 and MK 3. I already have the original MK 2 arcade machine too as I'm such a big MK2 fan and it was quite disappointing to think the xbox version couldn't match the original arcade. What's surprising is that on the Xbox Mortal Kombat 1 conversion (on the Deception premium pack that I got from USA) the conversion is absolutely spot on and the shadows are just perfect. Why there were probs in MK 2 and MK 3 is a mystery. But when you start playing, you don't tend to notice so much now. It's still the closest version to the arcades on a home console.
Also, the options in MAT2 are pretty neat, like being able to alter the screen zoom and save settings etc. Unlike in the MK 1 version on Deception, you can't change anything there at all.
Also, it's also very noticeable that all 3 games have been tweaked in terms of their AI challenge - all 3 games seem much harder (even on easy) than they originally were at arcade - I know this for a fact because I have the original machine to compare against!!
But definitely worth it for £14.99!! Also there are some other good games on there, such as Rampage.

I'm betting MAT2 won't be released here until the end of the year. And MK: Deception is going the same way as well. I don't know why but DVDs and games are never released on schedule here. I sometimes have to import them from Spain and what's funny is that it's even cheaper! The only problem of course, is having the box in Spanish...
SmackDown VS RAW wasn't out as well, but GTA San Andreas seemed to have been released the proper day (althought it's stupidly expensive). I have no clue when games are released here.

I got MAT2 today.
They didn't have MK Deception, but I did expect that since the release date was changed. I thought That MK1 was on MAT2, but it's just MK2 and MK3 in the PAL-version. Does the US-version have MK1 on it?
