I'm allowing this thread for discussion on how to handle the A.I. in MAX difficulty. As we all know, it's either easy or hard (or very hard) depending on the player, but there are ways to handle it if you're patient enough, and focused. I'll start with this:
If the A.I. is circling around you, go for a sweep attack, then quickly block. If the A.I. Blocks, they'll likely try to attack with a combo.
If they're coming right at you straight on, do a quick attack, and quickly block, as again, the A.I. will likely try to attack with a combo.
Like I said, it takes patience and knowledge of when the combo will stop. Also be knowledgeable of characters with combos that have one hit that hits low (Rayden's staff for example), and block low on that hit.
With Kung Lao, as they finish the combo, retaliate with:
1,1,1,CS,4,4,CS,B+3,D,B+4
Now, it can get pretty easy here. As the A.I. lands, throw his hat (B,F + 1). If they block, there's a chance that they'll jump at you (they'll be too far to hit you). Just before they hit the ground, do D,B + 4 again. Try to make it so that all 3 hits connect. Then, throw the hat again, and see if they again jump. Then you can probably just repeat this sequence of hat throw, A.I. Jump, Whirlwind Kick patter until you win. You can also throw the hat at any time to do this, granted you have some good distance from the A.I.
With Moloch, it's very easy, just time your attacks right. Do any combo, then very quickly dodge back (B,B quickly) and Block. Do this, and you have the chance that you will be out of Moloch's grabbing range. He can still swing his ball at you. Be extremely careful when approaching him as he can still swing his ball quickly. Try to make him miss the swing, and then combo him again, and repeat. If you need to change styles after the combo, do it as you're dodging back after the combo.

Been a while since I've posted on the MK:DA board. I've found Sub-Zero to be a great character to use on max diff. He has one cheap trick I use often against the A.I. (only the A.I.) on max that seems to work fine but must be timed correctly each time to pull it off (it doesn't matter the character except Moloch which I will get to). What I do is this...
Character moves in to you (you gotta start be keeping distance). Simply wait until he/she has commited to walking over to you and when proximity is just right do Ice Shaker (b,d,2). When the bastard is frozen do this combo in Dragon style: 1,1,2,b,f+4. Basically three strikes and a juggle with the Cold Shoulder attack. Just wash rinse repeat, but to pull it off make sure safe distance is achieved first and that you time it correctly with them moving in. I've pulled this off on all the characters with ease as long as I met the simple requirements.
As for Moloch: I just continue that combo 1,1,2,b,f+4 over and over until the bastard dies (no juggle). If I get knocked out of it, I do a Cold Shoulder to realign myself where I need to be to follow up with the combo again. It is just about being quick, aggressive, and timing things right in Moloch's case.
Anyhow those are just some quick Sub-Zero Max tips that I use personally against the A.I.

why B,B? just press up and you can dodge vertically. This dodge can dodge all his attacks. Or like someone said before, reverse his attacks.

Nope, not quite. Sidestepping around him can't dodge ALL of his attacks. His attack where he swings his ball around in an arc can't be dodged simply by sidestepping, it's a 3D move that'll connect every time. Sometimes he's also able to grab you even if you are sidestepping, so it's not a foolproof strategy.
Basically, the best way I found is to keep attacking him and don't let up. Keep pummelling him with quick, easy combos that have a fast recovery time so you can rip into him again.
I also found a very good way to defeat him with Shang Tsung. Just keep your distance, and shoot are 3F fireballs at him. He'll block some of them, but a lot of them he won't and they deal a faior bit of damage. If you keep him on the other side of the screen, there's no way he can hurt you.

Actually, the quicker dodge(tapping up) can escape his throws. just perform the quicker of the two dodges as Moloch is starting and you can avoid it and have plenty of time to lay your characters combos in.

That still doesn't dodge his move where he swings the ball around in an arc though. The only way to dodge that is to tap back twice quickly (or you can block it).

I find it's better to double tap back from both his grab and ball swing. That way, if you double tap up or down and he swings his ball, you get hit. It's just a little more insurance of safety. You might still have to block the ball if you dodge back, but the grab shouldn't be any concern even with a back dodge.

Moloch? REVERSAL.
You can reversse ALL of his attacks (except maybe his charge), even his ground smash and throw.
This way, you don't have to back away, you get good at timing the reversal for other characters, you can instantly hit him, and it makes it even easier to get flawless victories.

I doubt you could reversal is suck-you0in move though :P
But you can reversal his ground smash? Shit...how the hell would that work in real life? o_O
