Midway Arcade Treasure 2, MK3 "Bell Tower" background, something strange.
I dont know, but on my MAME Arcade version of MK3 and UMK3 there are no Huge bells in the top of the screen, but in the Video "Midway Arcade Treasures 2 Raw Play-Through"
You see some huge Bells at the top of the screen.
I nerver saw that before.

Yeah, the bells have always been there. Also I noticed the footage on that "Raw" video is not even from the Arcade Treasures 2 game, the MK 1, 2, and III footage was taken directly from the History of MK video included with MK DA.

Midway should've included some actual footage from Arcade Treasures 2 instead of pasing off some old footage as new.

There are no bells in the arcade version. If anything they either added them for MAT2 or they got footage from the PSX version (the one closest to arcade quality). Observe:

Note the bell above Shang Tsung's lifebar. Not present in the other shots.

Adding bells is a good idea, I've never really got why it is called the 'Bell Tower'.

It wasn't called "Bell Tower" in the complete versions of MK3 (2.0 and 2.1), it was called "Shao Kahn Tower". I believe they changed it back to "Bell Tower" in MK Trilogy.
