Does the MK 2 &3 from midways arcade treasures 2 actually have options where you can put the game on easy to hard? Some say you can and some say you can't. I need answers because I'm about to rebuy MK2 for my Genesis, and I perfer the arcade perfect game with options.

yes this is true i own midway arcade 2 highlight MK2 and enter the options there normal, hard, custom, choose custom and you can put diificulty to 1(like it makes any differance lol) you can turn low blows off and...i think thats it..oh and freeplay on or of.Highlight MK3 choose options there normal, hard, custom put MK3 on 1(easy...well execpt motaro) and freeplay on or off.the the sega i dont reallylike cause the letters are kind of gay execpt the babality and theres cheats but there not the cool.well the fergality is cool..ever done that.
IMO changing MKII's difficulty on MAT2 never made a difference. MKII was way harder than I remember it being.

MK3 was the only one of the 2 that I could beat on MAT2.

Is the MAT 2 version the same as MKSM? I can beat MKSM but it pisses me off that I can do certain moves that I like because the computer blocks just about EVERYTHING! Once in a blue moon I can freeze or spear a guy, but really rare. I just depend on Sub's ground freeze. So what you guys a re telling me is that MAT 2 MK2 is hard no matter on what difficulity?

well yes, mat2 does have options, you can change the difficulty, turn on free play, turn blood and fatalities on or off. you even get a few control schemes to choose from.

as for the cpu difficulty, the change is subtle as you change the difficulty setting. remember, its an arcade emulation, so you also get some things from the arcade that you might not like such as a hard cpu controlled opponent. the arcade didnt exactly have an easy to beat computer.

the console conversions like on the sega genesis, snes, 32x etc. have different AI than from the arcade, and is actually very easy on easy controll setting.

If you really want to beat the arcade computer, your just going to have to become a good player. dont get used to spearing and freezing like crazy.

btw, I love the MAT2 mkII, its the best console mk2 Ive ever played, arcade perfect man!

I can beat MK2 on MKSM, but I have to play cheap and use the same moves over and over again. I think I'm just going to buy MK2 on Genesis. It will bring back old memories and I'm sure I'll have fun.
