A little tidbit - If you look at the pant leg of Johnny Cage in the first pic, it has the 'OTOMIX' writing that was edited out of the actual game sprite. I wonder why it was edited from the game and not the print ads?

That actually still is visible in the game some times, like if Shang tsung does his soul steal fatality, for a few frames you'll see the writing on JC's leg.

My best guess is they removed it because it looks kinda stupid.

You can even see this writing on the lowest screen (first ad), where Johnny's doing his Shadow Kick on Scorpion.

man oh man thank you so much. it brings back memories like a flood. speaking of deleted mk 2 kontent, i recall the "tower" stage with the solo purple wizard floating in the background. the stage used to have these statues all standing in row's and they actually looked crappy in my opinion. if u wish to see it for yourself, just pop a copy of midway arcade treasures 2 and go to mk 2 and press the button which shows you the details on the game and one of the options is a pilot video which i assume was shown only to the companies involved in its sales. you can tell this because he rambles on and on about profits. anyway, again thank you for your help.
