The game exists in some form. ISOs of it are floating around the net. People have mentioned on this board that there was one in production but it was never completed but a copy of the prerelease version leaked out.

From what I've seen, the ISO on the net will run in psx emulators but is buggy which leads me to believe it was a test version that leaked.

mk 2 was being made for psx but it was cancled for some reason. i really wanted that game.oh, well.

Yea....I wanted it too..I popped in the Saturn version the other day & after LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG Load times I took it out, went downstairs, & switched my MK4 Machine to the MK2 Board & got Pummeled by Kintaro! OW!

i also have the mk2 boards thats the only way to go i have mk3 as well,still looking for mk1 & umk3.

i have them all with the exceptions of SP and Gold i have never had the chance to play those. heck i didnt even know SP existed until about a month ago. but i know where a copy is and im getting it later today.

sp and gold were never released for arcade.

yes,there is a version of mk2 for psx,i have played it a lot of times in my friend's shop,is very cool for beeing a pirate version of the game,it's not arcade to psx perfect translation,but is very close....i don't know why very of you people in this forum don't have this pirate version of mk2 for psx,sorry for you if you want it and can't get a copy,but i'm in argentina and if you want it,you must travel here....sorry,just kidding,and for last im not joking on that version of mk2 for psx,it reallly exists,i'm a big fan of mortal kombat since the first one,and i don't like to lie to you,the mortal kombat fans,i hope my post can help you....

Yup, its true. There was a PSX MK2. Problem is it was released in Japan and even then there were limited copies. I heard if you get one, you can get some PSX accesory to play Japan games like that. Smells illegal and that's always fun.

Oh, so you don't need any japanese emulator to play MK2 on PSX like the dreamcast to the Shenmue 2 on dreamcast? Cool. Then again, who needs any illegal copy of MK2 for PlayStation when you can simply play your legal copy of MK2 on your Genesis, SNES, etc.

if someone uses eMule then can download MK2 fo psx. it's not midways release of that game. Some guys just reprogramed some mk2 version..
