It is not. Tekken and mostly VF outdo Mk on term of playability, sales figures and graphics.

Tekken is a very good game but IMO I believe MK has a better franchise going on

I think if they made a revisionist Street Fighter kind of like MK:DA it could be better than MK.
That's because they are so similar and that they both are games where vets almost always beat button-mashers. Unfortunately there isn't a hope in hell of a new Street Fighter game, so... MORTAL KOMBAT ! ! ! ! !

Why do people compare Tekken to MK? How about you guys compare MK to a game that actually takes skill, like Virtua Fighter....now thats a good game that actually takes skill and you cant just button mash to win like in Tekken. and to be honest, 2D fighting games kick 3d fighting games ass.
