mk2 and mk3 sound question

I recently downloaded mk2 and mk3 on mame is there any way to make the sound better it gets all scratchy on some parts it gets really annoying is there anyway to fix this? Please help if you can.

yes, there is...
go to the roms properties into sound and change the samplerate from 44100 to 24000..........

Download Mamemore81u3, sound is 100% perfect for MK games, the only distortion is when the volume is too high and that happens in the arcades.
