Hey, all this is my first post here and it's more of a question than a post. Since I was 14 I've wanted a MK2 machine in my house. Since then reality has set in and home systems have come a long way with graphics.
So my question is, what's the closest thing i can get to arcade perfect quality in my home without buying the arcade? Does Sony or Microsoft plan on releasing a version on their home systems? How good is the PC MK2 game?
It's been this goal of mine since i was a kid, and being grown up not and still loving MK has kept me searching. Hope to hear some good news!

Yeah, i've really considered just getting the arcade because like you said they are pretty cheap. The biggest turn offs for me are: 1.) finding a good one. 2.) shippign charges (a couple hundred bucks) 3.) finding a place to fit it in my apartment. lol.
Is Midway treasures available on PS2? I know they have it on XBOX, but i hate their controller and i'm sure if i'm willing to buy a system for just one game.
For those interested in the arcade, there's a pretty sweet one on EBAY right now. 25" monitor and everything for just over $300 bucks. I would have gone for it but it's in Iowa and i live in Arizona... F-ing hot here too!

Yes mat2 is avaliable for ps2 it isnt arcade perfect but its totally playable theres a fews flaws i notice when i got it.Flickering shadows and sometimes the music over laps. But the more i played it the less i noticed it.It doesnt get in the way of gameplay its only 20 bucks plus 20 games so its a pretty good deal.

Exactly, you can barely notice the problems after you play for a few minutes. I STILL wish it was perfect overall. I use random select a lot and do like to fight Smoke once in a while. The music overlapping in MK3 bugs me and I don't want to enter the UKK everytime. I'm still searching for a Codebreaker code to keep Smoke available all the time.
Point is, I got it on Ebay for about 6-7 dollars brand new and I definitely can't complain.

CagedRott You can definitely try these idea's these people pointed out, I have MAT2 both on XBOX and PS2, and they are pretty much almost the same except the button layouts, If you still wan't ARCADe perfect email me for some emulating tools.
Dude, I so know what you mean, The closet I had gotten to arcade perfect at first was 32x's verison of mk2, (I have waited over 10 years) and then (God bless you midway
) The release of Midway arcade treasures 2 for playstation2, xbox and gamecube. I own a PS2 and I will say this, MAT2 is almost a arcade PERFECT version, without spending the large amount of money on the arcade machine. There is little, if "any" flaws that i noticed, the gameplay, music, sound effects, everything was there! Thats your best bet, trust me, I know and waited year after year to get my hands on an almost perfect version, hell blew mad money on getting the damn computer version (which does'nt work with my computer) and almost blew 50 bucks on getting a burnt copy of the ps1 mk2.

Get MAME and then the newest revision of the rom. That is the coolest thing to owning the real thing. Sadly I even prefer the SNES version over MAT2.
