In all versions of Mortal Kombat 3, when the versus screen stage select codes were added. Did they add one for the Bank? The stage is still in my UMK3 version for Saturn, and MK Trilogy on Playstation, and Saturn. Does anyone know if the VS Screen code exists, or if they forgot to place it in the game?

When something better than UMK3 comes out, I'll let you all know, because it still hasn't happened yet.

I have wondered this myself because the bank never appears in UMK3, there's no way they could have removed it either.

I know what you mean. I have tried almost every code I can think of. Trying random ones here, and there, and yet no luck. In the Saturn version of UMK3 the Bank is in there, and I still wander if there is a code there somewhere? Who knows?

There are no Kombat Kode kodes in the original MK3. Those weren't added until UMK3, and The Bank was taken out because of memory restraints, however, if you play UMK3 and look at the arena order, Jade's Desert appears after The Street, but has The Bank's background music instead of its normal music when it appears after The Waterfront.

The N64 version of MKT had Kombat Zone vs kodes, but did not have The Bank. The CD-ROM versions (PSX, Saturn, PC), have The Bank, but do not have Kombat Zone kodes.

So to put it simply, it's the only stage in all of the MK3 series that doesn't have a Kombat Kode associated with it.

Its true that it wasn't removed physically, but I would bet they had a maximum number of levels in the game, because of how they stored the value for the current level in memory. When they added the new levels to the list of levels, they had to take one out to fit all the others in. It just got bumped off the list.

How many backgrounds are there in UMK3 for the arcade?

I am not too sure about the arcade version of UMK3, but in the Sega Saturn version of UMK3, the Bank stage is still in there. Yes, it does have the same music as Jade's Dessert. That is why I was wandering.

Jade's Desert has the Rooftop music first time around, and when the rotation of stages gets to when the Bank is supposed to appear, it goes back to Jade's Desert with the Bank's music, that was stated earlier. Saturn loads things as needed, the arcade does not. The arcade has a set limit of RAM and I'm guessing that one stage was a big enough sacrifice to not have to make a new engine for the game.

To restate, the PSX and PC versions of MKT do not have Kombat Kodes for the arenas, and if the Saturn version doesn't (which I'm assuming is just a direct port of the other CD versions), then it's the same way, and there's no kode for the Bank anyway.

If thats all of them it would definately make sense. 16 sounds like a pheasible maximum number of stages, if they stored the current level in a single hexadecimal variable in memory then they wouldn't be able to have more then 16. (levels would be labeled 0 through F)

If that is the case then it might have been too big a change to add more then the 16 because to do it with a single variable they'd have to spill over into a new chunk of the ram. If it was all packed in already, it would have been very difficult.
I just searched all over Gamefaqs and couldn't find a thing ,and alot of stages are missing their kombat kodes ,even in trilogy WTF!Maybee it's the "FINAL SECRET". ^_^

I'm looking for those cool Fatality codes that I always see on the demo of MK 3 ultimate for sega genesis. Can you help me out?
