It might work on PC. But u'd have to get a game pad controller for it to really work. A joystick or the keyboard would really hinder play.
Imagine the graphics enhancements they could do on PC. Whoa!

_Aky_ Wrote: MKDA is already a success in business. They could do it for the pc just for the fans. I hope they will! (Capcom did onimusha for the fans) |
Imagine if its like mk4 with a comic book in the game as well. That will get everyones attention.
I believe that some things would look quite well on PC, with the help of the latest pixel shader technologies (e.g. Sub Zeros freezing, shading, etc), or if they cannot be ported into the PC ver, then higher resolution textures would do as well.
Controlling would not be a real problem, since MK4 was playable with keyboard, and was also in 3D. But if needed a gamepad is not so pricy (even in Hungary where I live hehe)
I also think that software piracy will not be strong enough to make the pc port "unbeneficial". 9 out 10 of my friends would buy the original version.

MKDA would be good for a PC version now, it's alredy smoten sales records and exceeded a lot of market expectation. A comic to go along with it would be great, though I'd have them stick with their internal artists rather than call upon Penny-Arcade like many others are doing these days. Nothing against PA, just I don't see the styles meshing well...
1. I realized that it Won't be even that pricy to make THE conversion: The X-Box is technically a modified 600 MHZ PC with a Gef3 chipset in it. So if we pulled up the texture detail even then it wouldn't require more than a 1 GHZ PC. (Actually i have a 667MHZ c-II but that's not the point).
2. Mortal Kombat 1-2-3-4 made 1Sr on the charts when it was released. And that wasn't because of piracy. Even if there is a significant ammount of software piracy, the 1st places of charts can't lie, even in the case of MK4. And if those people bought the original version, i'm sure they will buy DA also

Nekem is kene a PC-re, mert en nem is lattam, hogy hogy nez ki a mkda. It would be really cool, but mr. boon.... I don't think Midway will allow, probably because of their market policy...

I haven't even played MKDA yet....
