I used to have the same trouble. Just make sure you end with up and only up, then release block. Releasing block is the fatality initiator.

You could try standing the proper distance away, jump straight up, tap up, down, forward, up while in the air and right when you hit the ground tap Block.

You could possibly have bought a version that is missing a file to execute that specific Fatality. When I first bought my copy of MKT, Rain was missing his Pit Fatality. I sent it back to the company, and got a newer version that had everything in it. However, if you are standing right next to your opponent, and hold Block; you press Up, Down, Forward, Up, and then release Block it should work. Works on mine. Try doing it a little quick to see if it works for you.

yep i think your right, damn that sucks, i bought this game like ages ago to it was one of the greatest hit games to so i dunno if i can return it..

You could always call the company that made the game, and ask them if they would swap you for a better copy. I don't know if you had to fill out the little warranty card or not, and it takes a while to receive it back, but always call and tell them your problem, and see what they say. They were nice when I called about Rain's Pit. In the first copy I bought he kept throwing them every time I'd push F, D, F, LP. I tried holding Block while doing it, and everything, and finally I called them, and they had my warranty card, and they said to send it in, and they'd send me a replacement. The number should be in the manual. Give them a try.

I also have some problems with MKT:

The only animality I can input maually is Kabal's Rhino. All the other don't work! (except if I use one button fatals, but I don't want to)

I can't do Baraka's Head Slice fatal(is this really me? It's soooooo easy to put it in, I thougt. the code is B, B, B, B, HP right?)

I can't do Sindel Hair Spin
Neiher can I do Noob's smash fatality
And i can't do Jax Arm slice, but I haven't tried your hints out yet.

Please help me!!

BTW: I have MKT on PS1, dunno if that matters.

I just tried out the arm slice fatality from Jax, it finally worked.

Input the Fatality like this. U, D, F, U, BLK.

This is very interesting, I didn't realize the bugs reached out to even performing fatalities. I was fortunate enough to get a copy free from this problem.

Baraka's head thing is tricky, I think the main problem is getting the distance right. In MKII it was the "close" distance so you could just hold block; in MKT I think its been changed to like 1 step away, or half a step away, something like that. And tapping back four times usually screws up the distance, so you pretty much have to get to the right distance first, then hold block for part of the fatality to keep your position.

Sindel's fatals should be RN,RN,BL,BL, BL+RN (the last two buttons are hit at the same time; note the "+" as opposed to a comma)

Her other fatal is RN,RN,BL,RN,BL (think of it as Sub Zero's fatality in reverse). I think this is performed at one-step distance and the other is performed close, thought it might be the other way around since this is just off the top of my head.

Sindels fatality has worked out finally. I tried to use block on Braka's head slice but I still haven't performed that fatality. I'll try to perform that fatality while I'm in the air, it works most of the time.

Actually, I was trying my own tips for Baraka's fatality the other day and I still had problems. The proper distance is frequenty the hardest part to get the moves right, and I've noticed that a lot of FAQs tend to be vague on the fatality distances. The moves that are done next to the opponent are understood, but any distance other than that is where things get a little confused. Usually they write "sweep" as a distance, but I've found that a number of these moves actually require a different distance. I think what I'm gonna do is turn one-button fatalities on, just to find out the proper distances. Heck, I may start putting together my own FAQ. If I do I will post my results.

I'm also still trying the head slice thing. Dammit it won't work!! And I still haven't done Noob's teleport smash fatal. But like you said, sometimes the distance isn't propely clear and I think that's also what's going on with Noob's fatal. I thought I need to stand "close" but it never works. I'm also gonna try out the one button fatals to see the right distance.

By the way: All those animalities that don't work, are they (probably) all bugs? Or is there a little trick to perform them? (like only use kicks to perform babalities and friendships in MK2) I can only do Kabal's Rhino and even that one doesn't always work out.

For Baraka, stand toe to toe with oppoent, RH, then jump forward once from where you are and tap B B B B in air, when you land, hit HP, you can even land and hit back again, Baraka will be at Max distance for it pretty much, but it works if positioning is what's getting you.

Or, again stand toe to toe, jump straight up, HK, land, hold block, B B B B HP.

Ehm, maybe a stupid question, but why do you have to tap HK while Baraka is in the air? I still haven't perform that f***ing fatal.

I also found out that my fatals with Shang Tsung don't work. With both of them, you have to hold LP, put something in like RN, RN, RN, BLK for example, release LP. Everytime I do that I Morph into Kintaro. Any tips, some1?
Also, in a other thread on this forum, one of the users said this is the way to perform a Animality: You have to perform a mercy in order for an animality to work. Start a new game and fight until the third round. When the announcer says "Finish Him/Her!" on round three, press and hold Run and tap Down, Down, Down. This gives your opponent more energy to continue fighting. Defeat your opponent again, and perform the Animality. Does this work??

Maybe the problem isn't positioning. I haven't played MKT but I have MKII, hopefully this may help.

Stand up close to your oppent and tap B,B,B,B+HP. That's the head slice I do with Baraka in MKII. Remeber to push HP and B at the same time. If it doesn't work, you can blame me...

Well, you're right about the MKII thing (tried it out again yesterday), but it's still not working on MKT.

Anyway, the story above about the animalities actually works! I can finally do all of the animalities, which means I can do all of the -alities, except for Baraka's Head Slice
