I found this out last year with Kintaro but don't remember seeing the others. The Motaro one is funny and you got to love how Kintaro keeps falling down.

Anyanka, do you know if any MK websites have documented this glitch or if it's relatively unknown to the community? I really am not big on glitches, I just use what I've learned throughout the years here and there, and have put them in the videos upon requests. I looked around band couldn't find any, to me this seems like something people should be aware of...it's very special case glitch because the method is intuitive, they just shouldn't be able to activate 1BF's but hey, Midway has mastered lazy programming.

I don't recall seeing this on any site but then again the internet's a pretty big place so I'd be surprised if it wasn't somewhere.


Speaking of undocumented stuff...what's always surprised me is how few people seem to know about the secret ending picture in MK II arcade. If you beat the game on one credit you get a special picture of Boon, Tobias, Vogel and Forden. I never see this mentioned. Besides myself the only time I've seen it brought up on the internet is reading 10 year old posts using google search.

There is a even more unknown screen in MK2, I think it,s completly random, when you get game over, there is a big "III" at the game over screen.

Yeah the "III" game over screen is in Goro's Lair.

There's a "hidden" game over screen in MK1 arcade too. It scrolls through the entire pit stage so you can get a good look at all the bodies on the pillars and stuff.

The III screen is new to me too but I remember getting the scrolling pit ending screen in MK1. However I have no idea how I got it. Do you know how its triggered?

Iknew about that stuff in MKII, probably the reason is because so many people complain about not being able to beat MKII in the arcade. I always thought the III was interesting. Wasn't the scrolling pit also in the Genesis version? I seem to remember vaguely the weird terrible music and horrible background, trying to keep some semblence of the arcade in tact.

I have a memory of the scrolling pit during a demo mode for the Genesis but I could be terribly wrong because the neurons involved with memory of that period of time were damaged by how heinous the Genesis version of MK1 really was.

I don't think the Pit game over screen is on Genesis. It's on PC though.

Conferring with a former MK1 Genesis player, Steve here, he says he remembers the scrolling down of the pit after losing, we just tried and lost once but it was just Goro's lair, I don't know how many times it would take if it's true but if anyone feels like trying, go for it.

The scrolling pit or "III" screen should come out like one in 20 games or so.

i knew of kintaors but that its, nice job, i usually avoid mkt on PSX because i got the glitchy version, pre-greatest hits, i play on n64 and i know everyone hates it but i dont see why, fast gameplay, no loads, good controller (if you set the buttons good)
