I do "FEEL" I am the only one that likes the FIRST MK3 and MK 6.

I highly recommend MK Deadly Alliance. Better gameplay, les broken moves and characters, overall better roster, feel and storyline, and a far more usefull crypt.

Deception comes in close, but with a few better characters (two or three, the returning ones are mostly boring IMO) but overall better finishers at least in quantity ifnot quality.

Than lets start some club in honor of the First MK3 and MK6 lol.

I think MK3 was a real good game, a BETTER fighting game, than most games that came out at that time.(cought Street Fighter 3, cought)

The thing is, I think people expected MK3 to SURPAST MK2. Which of couse imo, failed.

But MK3 is a good game in its own right. I mean, SF3 NEVER did surpass SF2,(And they came out with 3 or 4 types of SF3's, the last one 3rd strike)

And NO ONE complains about the SF series when they make a bad game.

But when MK makes a good game, that does NOT surpast MK2, Than they go out and say, Oh no see?? Told MK can only last so long.

As of today, MK has more success, than Street Fighter, Street Fighter HAS NOT got pass SF 3. And are stuck, and I DO MEAN stuck in these vs series.
They are not progression, or coming out with SF4.

Mortal Kombat is on 6, and so to be MK7, which I sure will rock.
And Monks, allthoguth not real true to the story line, is a cool game. I see MANY GAMES from Mortal Kombat.

I loved Sheeva lol. She was the "Almost" the answer of being cool to play a 4 arm monster JUST once.

In MK3, she is my 2nd favor fighter, after Kung Lao. Yes I put her over Sub Zero lol. I just like the ideal what would a female of that race look like.
And she had that Kintaro stomp, Now Kintaro takes MORE engery out of that stomp, but you cant over look that move when faceing Sheeva. The Run button does make it harder to land the stop mind you.
But she is a female Kintaro IMO.

I dont see why evey one hates Sheeva relly. The only new fighter that did not get my taste was maybe, Nightwolf, maybe. I have no Hate or loved for night wolf.

But sheeva was some one I would date lol. Skyrker was cool 2. He was not JUST a cop, But part of a swat team, with the roit gear, These guys are train to the max. People say Skyker has no role in the MK world. But if one RELLY thinks about, he has MORE of a right to play a role in it than a actor, A natvie America, Lots of Nameless nijjas lol. I mean 3 or 4 are ok, but your pushing it with 7 or 8. And a few others maybe that escape my mind.

Relly I enjoy most of the fighters in the game, and Sheeva is like my top 5 in ALL the games.

why do ppl insist on catagorising others, i liked all of the MK games (never really played MK4 tho) MKT will alwasy be better than MK3 (no denying it) but it was still a good game, it aslo had some humor in it aswell.

Trilogy has an even more broken gameplay than MK3 had. Chain dial-a-combos were outdated shortly after their prime.

Are you sure "broken" is the word your looking for? MKT overall had kind of a "sloppy" feel to it, a real lack of polish in the presentation. But as I understand, a lot of the "broken" elements of MK3 were not present in MKT.

-Sub Zero's ice clone was less abusable
-Roundhouse kicks push you out of the corner
-Lots of changes to make the characters more balanced (Kabal combo damage reduced, Stryker riot gun added, Liu Kang and Sonya launchers, etc.)

However, MKT did have Noob Saibot and the Bosses, who were quite broken. So actually, while I think the basic gameplay of MKT is less broken, it all goes out the window if someone happens to choose one of those characters. So I guess I can see what you're saying actually.
BTW Chrome I am really looking forward to that new KoRn cd!!

And the End matchs, ok 2 or sometimes 3 is a good number.

BUT once you have to face OVER 4 guys with one guy lol. Than it gets out of hand. I never got by that. And than I lose, and pick Kintaro or Goro and teach thsos over hard End matchs a lesson lol.

MKT is a bit rush and sloppy imo.

Cages deadly uppercut, in MKT was well, not as good as MK1 and MK2.
The body is STILL standed, I perfer if the body falls after Cage does the uppercut.
At least in MK3(Non upgrade) Non of the bodys are relly standed, expect maybe Sheeva's flesh thing.

dont forget sindels scream skin-rip either.

well ok SINDEL and SHEEVA share the same fatalites lol. I count them as ONE fatalite because if you look at it, its pretty much the same thing. They both have differnt metods of doing it is all.

ppl hate MKD? i didnt know that.... i really really really really enjoy it. i even bought 2 copies of it (PS2 and GC versions). MKD isnt my fav MK of them all but i still really like it. my fav is UMK3. reason is is simply cuz of the roster. thats how i choose wich is my fav. simple as that. as far as MK3 is concerned... i guess id have to place it as my 3rd fav MK just cuz of Sektor really who is a big fav of mine. otherwise MKD would be my 3rd fav. although thing i really dont like about MK3 is that i just dont like the roster except for 3 characters. luckily the 3 chars i like in MK3 r all favs of mine.

anyways that sucks ur bro sold all ur MK games. i would whoop his ass and tell him to buy them back! then again.... u can just download them and play them on ur PC and even online. dont ask me for help tho cuz i got tired of helping ppl getting set up to play MK on ur PC. well ill just say go to romnation.net and download the MAME emulator. then download the MAME Roms of the MK (only MK1-UMK3). then theres another thing u gotta download to play them online but i cant recall what its called at the moment.

anyways as for MK4 being best MK ever? sure u got ur opinion. and without a doubt it was a step forward for the franchise (was first 3D MK afterall). although that game sucks imo. i pretty much dislike almost every thing about MK4/Gold. but if u like it then w/e.

as for Deadly Alliance and Deception.... buy them both! just buy Deadly Alliance first so u can go through that and see all the endings and every thing. then after ur done with MKDA get MK: Deception wich u should be able to find for a good price used. maybe even for just $30 brand new. im not sure. what ever the price tho its worth it. i paid $100 on MKD (bought 2 copies). anyways id say do that mainly for story line sake. if u dont care about the story tho and just want the better game then get Deception cuz it is better than Deadly Alliance by far. although if ur a huge fan of Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Kitana, Kano, Cyrax, Jax, Sonya, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, or Reptile, then u will want Deadly Alliance since none of them r playable in Deception. ive found that the main reason y any one liked Deadly Alliance more then Deception is just cuz their fav character is in MKDA and not MKD. if ur a real MK fan tho u should get both. cuz if ur a real MK fan then id think the story line is a big deal for u. its one of the main things that matters most to us MK fanboys :)
