Check it... If there was a "Final Secret" and it was a secret character, I think it would be Baraka. They make 1,000 references to him in the Krypt and it seems most likely. They even bothered to put in his ending from MK:G. Also, (my opinion again) they should have thrown that character Tiamat (you can peep his pic somewhere in the Krypt) in the game, as a playable character or even better as a final boss.

There's only 667 coffins in the krypt give or take a few. How are there a thousand references? And what are the references you are refering to?

The 1,000 was just exageration, they have sketches, his ending, and I think his profile if I remember right. All I ask myself is why would they even include his ending from MK:G in there. Just makes no sense to me. He has nothing to do with the story line, no where to be seen in the game either. Plus, I've also considered the play of the gold coffins in the Krypt. I've tried to take the letters and scramble them or try to find a pattern in the placement in them. I don't know, maybe I'm losin it. But there is also no real reason for having the gold coffins...

Its a point reptile...but people never stay dead. i try to look at every item i buy in the krypt and i have noticed a couple things...

1. on kabal's helmet, it never says he is dead

2. there are a lot of concepts and test arenas for the swamplands..an arena that is not there..

3. on zebraman's sketch he says, "we wouldn't put him in the game...would we?"

just a couple things, right now i try to mess around with the hint thrown in from the portal stage. ive tried to beat kano with sonya in the center and end in a fatality, then do some serious button mashing, haven't got nothin yet. also used shang stung vs. quan chi, drahmin vs. scorpion, reptile vs. cyrax, and others...still nothin...but i got a feeling im movin in the right direction. when i give up on the portal stage im going to try the dragon egg stage the stage where the boat is floating right outside the portal...

Well, at least it's gonna keep you plaing the game...

Baraka's ending definitely didn't happen. I dunno why they put it in, but I have a speculation:
It's a cool ending, in it, they actually fused 3D and real life, with Quah Chi's hands, and I think his whole body in the very last sequence where Baraka explodes... I dunno... But trst me, Baraka's ending did not happen, we don't know where he is, we don't know if he's the final secret, I doubt it... But hey, keep on playing...

Personally, I'm willing to accept that with a few minor adjustments, Baraka is dead. Now I'm a huge Baraka fan, but I almost think keeping him obscure, and in only a few games is kinda cool.
Never the less, if anyone stops by the MK6 forum, I've got an explanation for him appearing in MK6 (Retribution)!

My theory for including the video in the krypt? MKGold was Dreamcast exclusive, a lot of MK fans wouldn't have seen it, and it's a great ending. I just wish they included the other MKGold exclusive endings in full. Kitana, Mileena, Kung Lao, Sektor, Cyrax etc.

it does keep me playing...but i dont obsess. Its just fun to try to figure out paterns and reoccurances. As I look at things over and over, I think these are what the secrets could be...

Sektor or Noob- They got a lot of things about Sektor and both are hidden characters in the GBA version

Baraka-They bring him up (and he looked so cool in MK:G, so its wishful thinking I guess)

The Swampland- It looks like from the Krypt that the Swampland was completely finished, they put a lot of work into a place that "isn't in the game"

Stage Fatality-(The Temple arena with the water around it) in the Krypt he OBSESSIVELY says that he wanted a sea serpent as the stage fatality for that arena. and from his hint of "try mashing buttons everywhere" could be...couldn't be... doesnt hurt to try since some of the other bullshit tips require you to spend a million damn coins...

Okay, I failed to mention that the final secret was confirmed. Rather than repeating myself, feel free to check out the MKDA Anniversary thread.

Prepare to be disappointed.
