I think Jax was actually suppose to be in MK1 by the name of Kurtis Stryker but was replaced by Sonya.

And they almost made Jax a shitty ass looking character. Ever see what his original costume looked like in MK2? A crappy yellow kung fu outfit or something. Thank god it ripped and got thrown out.

Storywise, Jax isn't the best. He really needs a huge evolution in that area along with his partner Sonya. I didn't like the addition of the bionic arms for him. His Sonic Wave is a much better projectile than his Machine Gun and Missles. I really don't see much of a purpose for him in MK. He's just kinda....there... But if he makes it into MK6, his storyline should revolve around him learning how to rely on his inner strengths instead of technology. It should be that and trying to stop the Red Dragon and stuff like that. (Of course I want more for him than the stuff I mentioned.) I really liked the fighting styles they gave him in MK:DA. They really suited him well. He was quite fast, quite strong, and he had a good arsenal of moves.

I think Jax is Ok. I ́ve started to think that probably it would be good if he was killed in Mk6. Being not playeble. It will be better for Sonya ́s story. But if one should stay, Sonya is the one.

i always thought jax and sonya were more than partners,especially in the cartoon sonya got a little jealous of jax when jax went to see his girlfriend.

LOL. Nah, I dont think there is a Jax/Sonya relation. Its more posible with Cage, the movies, the comics, PLUS Cages ending in MKDA let U with a lot of things to think about.

BTW, remember Sonya dosent trust anyone. I belive she got jelous, but also, she always worries for her friends.

Jax is an OK fighter to me.

In the first cartoon of Defenders of The Realm, when Sub-Zero joins and Sonya gets pissed of, I remember Nightwolf saying (or Srtker?) that she lost trust, for she lost 2 partners and she blames herself. One, I suppose is the one Kano kill, but the other? I think it might be Cage.

LOL, no she didnt. DIdnt U see? She was the ONLy one who acepted Kabal for what he was, not fearing of his looks. At the end, U can see how Kitana and the rest of the Mkteam rather go then to see his ugly face. Kabal said he hoped there were more people like her.

thanks for clearing that up,i didnt really play as sonya in mk1 but i played as her alot in mk3 but they made her even better in MKDA.you sound like a big sonya fan.
