Ok, first a little background. I suck at fighting games. Desperately. In fact, I'm fairly confident I'd get my butt kicked at Rock'm Sock'm robots without another player against me. However, there are a few series I follow faithfully for their interesting characters and the fact that they're fun to play. The Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat series are among these.

Now I recently picked up MK:DA, and I've been doing well so far. However, earlier tonight in Konquest mode, I came across Drahmin's final stage, the typical fight against his mirror image.

I am completely stuck. I must've lost a good 20 or 30 rounds already. A few times I've won two rounds and came close to beating him in the third, but lost at the last second.

Anyway, I'm getting terribly frustrated and angry. The total damage so far is a destroyed pillow curtosy of one of my collector's daggers, a destroyed VCR from a few swings of my decorative sword, an injured father who attempted (and failed) to take said sword away from me, and a broken Controller S, curtosy of the standard X-Box controller throw.

So, I'd like any and all tips/strategies for beating Drahmin with Drahmin. Preferably something reeking of cheese. I'll try anything, including standing on my head and licking the TV screen while playing. I'm desperate here people.

Thanks in advance for your help. Until then, I'll just.. well, sit here. My controller is broken, after all.

Turn the difficulty to Novice, and do his throw over and over again by pressing Forward+Black. That should work.

Sadly, it already is on novice. I play the single mode so I can unlock characters with which to pummel friends of a similar skill level.

Don't know what else to say except practice.

oh please! Listen pal practice is not needed to beat that ugly thing. Here's the best cheez play I can muster, its actually what I used to win.

First: put it in Iron Club mode (weapon stance)

Second: on PS2 its O which is a very quick and powerful jab. Do this over and over

Third: if he begins to block those do the Spinning arm move that hits 3 times -> -> Triangle on PS2 then revert right back to step 2

Fourth: Don't sweat it, Blaze and Mokap are not worth it. Unless you want the sense of accomplishment.

Thanks for the tips everyone. While neither of those strategies worked, I did get one on my own. It was simply just blocking until he hit me with a high delay move, and then kicking his face in. It came down to the clock in the last round because he was hesitant to attack, but I pummeled him enough that I had more health, so huzzah. :D

Hm, I know you don't need it anymore, but I'll post it anyway.

Drahmin is a great character to use. You can do the F, F, 2 attack and, while in the first fighting style (Netherealm, if I'm not mistaken), press the special button and recover a little of your energy without risk of being hit, since the opponent is in the air.

You can also to his throw, and when the camera goes back to normal, quickly press 3 and 3 again, for two kicks more.

AND you can always power-up when in the Iron Club style, so the damage can be even bigger. And remember not to do D, B, 1 many times, because the CPU almost always blocks it.
