When they are in the air. Randomly doing projectiles is bad. Find a point when they cant block. Like If you are Liu kang, a good time to shoot his low fireball is when they shoot a special of their own. There are less chances you will get like this for the spear and freeze. Again, they best times are when they are airborne in my opinion.

You mean when they land from being airborne?Cuz the Ice and Spear only shoot horizontal.

You can hit people with the spear and freeze when they are airborne, they just have to be low enough to get hit by it. Once they touch the ground, they'll just block it.

In a pinch, you can cheap the computer out by finding the right time to jump towards the opponant, and scrolling down screen the til eventually you are both in a corner (they wont attack don't worry) then simply jump/move back, and they are gaurnateed to jump towards you...and then, you can spear/freeze them. This only works on the player 2 side, btw.

It gets boring real quick though doing it this way.
