i think he fairly resembles shockwave from the transformers saga. A ruthless, cold and calculating being of pure evil in a logical sense. Good job btw.
Noob Saibot receives orders from his leaders to join Shao Kahn's forces during MK3 which should also include Shinnok. There was the whole classic Sub-Zero character in UMK3 and MKT though many say that he's just there so that all of the characters can be in the game. However, maybe John Tobias wanted the older Sub-Zero to return. His ending is still a bit of a mystery to this day despite us now knowing that he became Noob Saibot after his death. But what if Noob Saibot somehow donned the old Sub-Zero costume? If I remember correctly, Noob Saibot's ending said something about how Shinnok gave the orders to then turn against Shao Kahn's side and is ordered to attack. Perhaps Noob donned the old Sub-Zero costume and somehow joined with the forces of Earthrealm to fight against Shao Kahn's forces to defeat them. Afterwards, Noob returns to the Netherrealm and aids Shinnok once again. I wish there was actually some character development in MK4, because it seemed to me like all he did was serve Shinnok and that's about it.
One thing I'm surprised you didn't mention was Noob Saibot nearly killing Goro. I wonder if something will develop between the two characters in the future though that may not be since Noob was just doing his job I guess in the name of Shao Kahn. I have one correction to point out. It was after Quan Chi's apparent demise that Noob Saibot found himself in Outworld and began his own campaign of domination. I wonder how he knew where to find Smoke. Perhaps he had been in those areas before during his services to Shao Kahn? Either way, it's kind of interesting and odd how he was able to reactivate Smoke and use Smoke's nanotechnology to repair and reshape his body and make him into his servant. I think that Quan Chi really had more of the part of turning the older Sub-Zero into Noob Saibot since Noob seemed to have regained his free will after Quan Chi's death. I never saw the older Sub-Zero as a power-hungry type, but maybe that influence is from Shinnok.
I see Noob Saibot as kind of the Darth Vader of the MK series and he should either try to convince his brother, Sub-Zero, to join his side or he should just try to destroy Sub-Zero. It seems to me that when it comes to Sub-Zero that Noob simply wants him to be wiped out, probably because he wants to eliminate any and all traces of his past. If Noob becomes ruler of the Netherrealm, will he become like Shao Kahn and try to take over other realms? If so, do you think that Noob Saibot is or may become influenced by the One Being? I'd like to see how that goes. I'm sure Sareena will play some kind of part in Noob's future storyline. Will she side with Noob who she had interest in when he was human or will she side with the younger Sub-Zero? To me, she simply wants to be free from the Netherrealm and to live her own life doing as she pleases. Perhaps Noob may want Sareena to rule with him by his side though I don't think Sareena wants to ever go back to the Netherrealm. What about Ashrah? I'm surprised you also didn't mention her. Ashrah is bent on trying to slay as many evil demons as possible in her quest to purify herself and she seems to target Noob since he's a powerfully evil wraith. Her ending mentions that Noob was not originally a demon and that it explains why she sensed such great evil in him. The older Sub-Zero's life of killing and stealing in the name of the Lin Kuei clan is pretty much what earns his place in the Netherrealm and like I said before, Noob actually desires to remain in the Netherrealm. I wonder what will become of the Noob/Ashrah rivalry. I don't think it should play too much of a part of either of their storylines as of yet.
When it comes to Frost, it may be possible that she can tie into Noob's storyline though that may be a bit of a stretch. As for Scorpion, the one who killed him and thus leading to his transformation into Noob Saibot, I would like to see the two warriors tie into each others' storylines. Maybe Scorpion will take responsibility for his actions and put a stop to Noob. Since Scorpion is a part of his past, perhaps Noob Saibot wants Scorpion eliminated, regardless of whether or not Noob has any signs of gratitude to the specter for playing a part in his transformation into a wraith. Will Smoke be able to free himself from Noob's control or will Smoke's time in the Netherrealm transform him into a cyborg demon, completely submissive to Noob Saibot? Although Quan Chi and Shinnok are gone, it is possible that they may return, especially Quan Chi who is a native of the Netherrealm due to originally being an Oni demon. Will they have any part in Noob's storyline? Perhaps either or both of them will try to regain their control over Noob Saibot or maybe they see Noob as even more of a threat as he was when he was human and will try to eliminate him.
Then there's of course Sub-Zero, the character who is bound to be the most involved with Noob's storyline. Sub-Zero is Noob Saibot's greatest enemy and Noob Saibot may possibly be Sub-Zero's greatest enemy. I think it will be a bit difficult for Sub-Zero to take down his brother since he admired him very much and was the only family he ever really had during his days as a Lin Kuei warrior. However, the brother he knew is gone and probably gone forever, so Sub-Zero will have to confront Noob either way. But how can Sub-Zero take down a warrior who is technically dead? I guess he may need help from Scorpion and Ashrah. I'd really like to see a deep, compelling development of a rivalry between the two brothers.
I think that for MKM: Sub-Zero and MK4, John Tobias no longer wanted to consider Sub-Zero and the other Lin Kuei members as ninjas since that isn't accurate. The Lin Kuei are based off of an ancient Chinese clan that went back many centures ago, long before Shaolin and they are apparently somewhat associated with Taoism and possibly connected to Sun Tzu and the Art of War. The Lin Kuei stuff in real life is more than likely believed to be false though it's still hard to say. In the MK storyline, Ninjutsu does kind of stem from the Lin Kuei. In real life, Ninjutsu does have origins from China due to the Art of War, Chan/Zen Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and fighting skills that evolved into Japanese arts of Gyokko Ryu Koshijutsu and Koto Ryu Koppojutsu, Gyokko Ryu especially being a main influencing art for Ninjutsu. Anyway, it seems that with Vogel as the MK story writer, MK games have gone back into referring to the Lin Kuei as ninjas which I don't quite like. I prefer it in the MK games that the Lin Kuei is simply referred to as a warrior clan.
to illandra86: I don't think that would be a good idea nor would it make much sense since they were enemies of each other and I don't think Scorpion has any interest in teaming up with his former enemy, even if it means them trying to take down Quan Chi who is still around whether he's dead or alive.
How does anyone think Smoke will be affected when the truth about Noob-saibot comes out?
As for Ashrah, I would have preferred her to go after Scorpion as opposed to Noob-saibot. I like the idea of the hunter becoming the hunted.

The thing with Noob Saibot is would he even recognise anything of his former life? does he even know who he really is?
while their trying to build their "army", isn't Noob planning to use smoke as a template for some cyborg demons or something?
That's what I meant by building an army.

He recognizes his brother in his Deception ending, so he apparently does remember his old life.
Is there a possibility that Frost's soul could have decended into the Netherrealm like Subzero's and she might turn into a wraith?? She was tainted with a little evil imo because of her greed.
That's one of the directions I can see Frost going. And for all we know, she already was tainted with evil before she even met Sub-Zero. She could end up in the Netherealm and Noob could use her against Sub-Zero.
That's why I think even if Frost is really dead, I think she'll still play a part in Sub-Zero/Noob Saibot's storyline.
Which would be better for the storyline and characters involved?
*If you don't know what I'm talking about, then it's in my thread, "Frost's Potential."*

Save a life; Kill a necromorph
as for me, I dont think that we know the total truth about Noob Saibot's past.
What do you mean by that?

Noob may have also know that smoke and sub-zero were good friends at some point, i aint sure on that tho.
would noob saibot hold anything against scorpion if he caught sight of him? (scorps did kill him after-all
noob might also use sareena in some way or another in the future, but thats just my guess.
he means that it might be false in that noob saibot IS the old sub-zero, highly doubtful that it could be false IMO, as xiahou said, he obviously rembers the young sub-zero in deception. (even tho smoke knew who he was first, noob just took his time in remembering

Ah yes, not surprising of him to think so, but with more than enough evidence, especially with Noob-Smoke's ending having a part that goes "Noob Saibot, the Original Sub-Zero had descended into the Netherrealm, free from compassion...." proves that Noob Saibot was once the Original Sub-Zero who was killed by Scorpion in MK1.
I'm sure that Noob knows of Sub-Zero's and Smoke's friendship. If Noob comes across Scorpion, he may either not give a damn about him or do something to have him eliminated for good.

a)Quan CHi is dead.
b)Somehow Scorpion will find out about Noob Saibot's past and will attempt to kill him.
Do you see Noob-Saibot and Scorpion teaming up against Quan chi in the future?
