Fun Fact:

Not only is SNES MK1 censored in regards to blood it also censors Raiden's bio. Instead of refering to him as a demi-god they call him a "mystical warrior" that lives in the heavens.

Back in the day Nintendo was extremely conservative about religous references in games....
