What OS are you using?

MK3 was a DOS game, so I don't think it would work in Win2K or WinXP, at least not well at all. In Win 95/98/ME it would probably just take some minor tweaking since they are all still DOS based.

Wish I could help you... I remember back in the day I had a hell of a time getting MK3 to work. I ended up using some screwy custom boot sequence with an alternate AUTOEXEC file just to run the damn thing. That was years ago so I don't remember any of the specifics. Although I'm sure you would prefer not to reboot your computer everytime you play the game anyway.

I'm not positive, but I beleve there is a patch to run MK3 on newer PCs but I could be wrong.

I use to run MK3 on Win 3.1 and then on Win95. It wouldn't run on 98, 2K, or XP.

I have windows 2000 and XP and i somehow played MK3 on 2000 but then i uninstalled and forgot what i did to make it work.
I used Abandon Loader (http://www.angelfire.com/realm/zeroone/) and WDM sound (http://ntvdm.cjb.net), but since i installed VDM Sound v2.1.0 i start getting error in MK2 "something about NTVDM" and installing old version back did not help.
Also i played MK1 and MK2 just fine on window 2000
