Do you know why they closed it? I didn't break any rules did I? I said I didn't want to start a fight, but I bet MK2KungBroken would have started one anyway. He likes to think he is correct about everything.

Nah, I don't know. But I do think it was stupid that a mod closed it. I don't think you did anything wrong since their is no rule to not talk about a MK character.

If it starts a flame war, then warn or ban the people who start it, not just close the thread. That's just being lazy and kinda rude.
Wow....talking about Ermac is shunned here, what a joke.

If this is a MK board(which last time I checked it was), everything MK should be allowed to be talked here no matter what.

Seriously it just goes to show that I guess too many people on here are immature and can't dicuss Ermac without it turning into a flame war.

well... now im not revitively sure about ermac being in mk2, im not doubting it or calling you a liar, far from it, ermac may very well be in it, though theres also a chance he is not, i know ermac was in mk1, it was a glitch thaqt turned scorpion red, it happened to me a long time ago, and i dont revitively remember everything, but you dont really know if we know everything about the games...

someimes, secrets are knowned by the creators and are never told about to the outside world...

these types of threads, i see more often then the mysterious fifth ending in csotn threads on cv forums, true that fifth ending exists, but it has not yet been able to be unlocked... the game was made in 1997, expect how soon the final secret in mk:da is going to come to knowledge...

though i know alot of disbelivers are going to say "SHUT THE FUCK UP MORON!" and guess what i dont give a rat's ass, i believe ermac can be in mk2, mostly possibly it can be done perhaps, thoguh i have my wondering side...

i can only believe it half way, because i know it could be true... and i also know it cannot be true... so its sorta, one on one in a ways...

Everything's been found in MKII. It's not like nobody's ever come across this data. Yet it always leads to zilch.

If you can't figure out why a thread called "Who believes in Ermac" and then further delving into a false rumor by then saying "I don't care what you think the facts are" was closed, then I have given you a lot more credit than you deserve.

Think about this.

A topic that has room to include opinions. Something like, "Was it in our best interests to invade Iraq?" There are valid points on both sides of an argument like this.

A topic that has no room for opinions is something that deals with facts.

FACT: Ermac was not in MK1
FACT: Ermac was not in MK2
FACT: Ermac was not in MK3
FACT: Ermac was in UMK3

Even more ridiculous, the Red Scorpion concept, that was created merely to fuel the Ermac rumor, is equally as false.

I am going to number these questions, and anyone who wants to answer them, please do.

1. Do you understand that Red Scorpion stemmed from the Ermac allegedly discovered by Tony Casey?

2. Do you believe Tony Casey's story in the EGM magazine?

3. Do you admit that if Tony Casey's story is fake then Red Scorpion did not happen either?

Don't dance around the questions, just answer them yes or no. There are some people here using zero common sense.

DreemerNJ just brought up the point that all the character names listed in that hex edited text are all characters who are not playable in the game, yet somehow, Ermac is exonerated from this list and thus must have been in the game.
No.

By not reading what I have posted, or not answering the questions I have listed honestly, or saying that I don't present an intelligent argument is admission that you don't care whether or not Ermac was really there, and that you just want to believe he was, or could have been, and, have no empirical data to back up your claims. If you do, show me, else, you lose. If that's all it was, then fine, but do NOT tell people he was there, you have no proof. Remember, this whole thing started when MKSECRETS said that Ed Boon clearly states Ermac appears in MK1, which 100% false. He said nothing about any red Ninja named Ermac, he talked about an error prevention system he calls ERMAC, which was used for Smash TV, another Midway game. After that, everyone else who has chimed in and has said Ermac was there has never provided proof. The only evidence ever provided was proof that it was a hoax.
Ermac being in MK2? Even more erroneous. You will believe something that you have to use a hex editor to see, but yet, not something that you can see if you beat the game. Amazing. Simply astonishing.

You've prooved nothing, NOTHING. The text in the game doesn't mean anything. The arcade versions of MK II have "Kano Transformations" in the audits. Doesn't mean they're there. I could make a game and put "JAX" or "SONYA" in the code, and all it could be is the name of a variable unrelated to MK.

This thread is closed. Next time, show us some REAL evidence other than get everyone riled up about a character in a game that you can't prove really exists. Text in code is not proof.
