posted07/27/2003 11:04 PM (UTC)byHow come everytime I go to play MK:DA... that great Intro Cut Scene, is never seen? I don't understand this! I mean shit! Do I have to unlock it in the Krypt or something? Please, someone tell me what the F*censorship sucks* is up with it!

You mean the video at the beginning? I get that, never been a time it hasn't shown up. The real question is why some people don't see it.

I had that problem while playing on my friends ps2. I think it's simply a dirty lens.

Never had that problem on the Gamecube version...I've seen that intro so many times I can quote it line by line...

That's a good way to get something flared up in a decent thread.
This discussion was about the PS2 version of MK:DA, not the Gamecube version.
Anyway, I've never had that problem before.

We solved the problem with my friends by puttin the ps2 on its side. The FMV seem to play more consistantly afterwards.

When did you first get your PS2? There's a good chance that the lens in the PS2 is all dirty. I have my PS2 since January 2002 and I really take care of it. Despite all my efforts, me and my brother had to open up the PS2 at two different times to clean the lens and stuff around the lens. We had to do it because the PS2 wasn't able to read most of our game discs. The ps2 said : Disc read Error. And after we clean this using Rubbing Alcool 70% and Q-tips , the PS2 was functional again. But at times I have problems with my controller, so I always let it plugged to avoid this problem.
I fixed the problem, for some reason, I had to unplugg the DVD Remote Censor or whatever it is, from my second controller dock. I don't know what the hell was up, but it's been working everytime since then, thank's for all the help guys.

ok if u want to see it, i had this same problem. You cannot use a ps1 controller plug in the one that came with the ps2 then try. If it doesnt work when u get to the press start screen hit triangle

i use both ps1 and ps2 controllers and havent had this problem. but like i told him, most people that have had the problem wad something to do with player 2's controller port. dont know if its a system thing, a game thing, or in the controller (or in this case a dvd censor)
there are a lot of bugs to this game in one way or the other..lol.

That opening story sequence plays me everytime. There hasn't been a time it didn't play. I just pass it up and go straight to the press start screen anyway, then to the main menu.

I've got the PS2 version also, but have never encountered that problem before. I usually just hit start to skip it now and get straight into the fighting.
