That biography wasn't used, but it made it into some of the manuals. His new bio states that he was born in Edenia around the time Shao Kahn took over and rather than be exterminated by the squads, he became a general in his armies instead.

I have both of those manuals as well. Believe it or not, some of the N64 cartridges that got shipped out also have the story of Rain being part of the Lin Kuei in them as well. It was an accidental glitch that the programmers forgot to fix. I think it was the first 50,000 of them that were shipped. I have one, because Rain's story in the N64 MK Trilogy I have states he was in the Lin Kuei. In my opinion, I think Rain did at one point get trained at the Lin Kuei, and also at the Shiari Ryu since he was smuggled away from Edenia at birth. He was smuggled to Earthrealm. After completing his trainning, he returned to Outworld to secretly serve Shao Kahn so he could later aid in stopping him for good.

Damn, you sure do know a lot about Rain Trynax. And just for you, in the next Service Pack, I'll have a rain combo for you.

Also, I talked to Lex, and he said that the UMK3 Wavenet Card only works when you are hooked up to a networked machine, else it plays just like regular UMK3.

I thought he was just taken into Kahn's custody.

The 'N64 glitch' is an interesting little bit of info..I wish there was more to know about Rain. I like that character. Especially his roundhouse and such. I've checked all around and what's really sad is that there is more to know about Ermac than Rain..I wish he could have made it in deception..or did he?....probally not
