MK: skechty but orginal and instantly addicting
at least a 9 out of 10
MKII-III: excellent squels that kept us attached
both 10 out of 10
at least a 9 out of 10
MKII-III: excellent squels that kept us attached
both 10 out of 10
MK1: 9/10
Becuase you can't hate the original. It was the first of it's kind. FATALITY becomes a household word.
MKII: 9/10
Much more fun gameplay. This is what really started it all. If you hadn't heard of MK before, yeah deffinitely heard about it now. Two fatals, a friendship, and bablaity? Probably triple the effect of the first MK.
MK3: 8/10
What? Where is Scorpion, Reptile, Kitana, Milleena, and CAGE? Replaced by characters such as Sheeva and stryker. Still, it had better graphics and KOMBAT KODES. It also had potential.. hint hint.. gues what game is next..
UMK3: 10/10
Come on! Without a doubt the best MK to hit the arcades. With gameplay tweeked to lessen corner combos but make juggeling in general easier. MANY new characters including all of those you missed in MK3! Plus Ermac! You couldn't ask for anything else.
Trilogy: 11/10
I know this was just a home version but probably the most often played and reffered to game. Best selling home version. Several new characters like Cage, Rayden, Rain, 4 classic characters, BOSSes, and chameleon/khameleon. The most warriors in any MK game to date. I Myself currently own the N64 and GT playstation version. In different rooms incase one is occupied, and I have a cravin...
MK4: 8/10
I rate this the same as MK3 for the same reasons. Where are the characters we saw In UMK3? This is like, half! But...It's fliping 3D, the majority of fans won't argue with that... What's this I hear...? We get to use weapons? And throw stuff? Woaw Scorpion's ANIMATED ending video is so sweet! Oh man, I can pick to fight as the ending boss? On a serius note the gameplay was rather janked compared to it's early counterparts so it became less preffered than some of them.
DA: 7/10
First REAL 3D game, with 2 fighting styles and a weapon fighting style. Two bosses and a sub-boss, kyrpt, Impalement, konquest, reversals, this was all new. People like me would have gaven this game a 10 when it first came out... but then, we saw konquest. Yippee.. let's do 208 training missions!!!!
Deception: 9/10
I personally don't like the gameplay mostly because of the dreaded breaker. If you just went in for a single punch. BLAMO your on the floor. Not exactly fair as it's meant to be a COMBO BREAKER to PREVENT infinites. Did it do it's job? HELL NO! But compare this to DA, you've got a REAL konquest that's actualy neat. Chess, Puzzle, ONLINE!, better krypt with stuff worth buying. If this isn't the most popular MK game then it would deffinitely come with second. With tweaked gameplay this could've been GOLD.

MK1- 8/10 classic, adictive and fun. I even play to this day, but id prefer more than 1 fatality.
MK2- 9/10 More finishers, moves, and characters made this one of the best even to today. However, the AI was a little to hard
MK3-9.5/10 Basicly 2, but with a combo sytem, which i loved.
UMK3- sorry to say, played it once, not enough to grade.
MKT- 9.9/10 one of the best, largest chracter list, even more then deception, plays like one of my favorites (MK3), and had WAY more secrets than 3, with kahns secret stash or whatever it was called. I played this game at least 2 months straight without playing anything else.
MKM:SZ- 7/10, good concept, good gaemplay, but to beat the whole game, it had to be on medium or harder, which was a great challenge since it wasn't real descriptive to what your supose to do.
MK4-8/10, good 3d version of 3, but (home versioin) was too easy.
MKG- (i wish i had a dreamcast)
MKSF- after what i heard, thank god i didn't play this!
MKDA-9/10- everything was almost flawless... then came konquest.
MKD-9.99/10-Evrything was just right, except finding keys just to finish the krypt was a pain.

MK1- 6/10 (I don't like it much but hey without MK1, MK will never exist! :D)
MK2- 10/10 (It was fun esp. the stage fatalities and the hidden character battles ^_^)
MK3- 8.5/10 (All great esp. the kombat codes but where are our favorite ninjas?! :\)
UMK3- 10/10 Good shit. Only minor con is those goddamned BRUTALITIES! I can never do any of them. So friggin hard >=(
MKT- Pretty fun esp. with Khameleon but not that good. 6.5/10
MK4- Again, where is Kung Lao, Kitana and the others? 7/10
MKG- Awesome. A fair 9/10 from me.
MKMSZ- Awesome game- fills the storyline for MK4/MKG and introduced great characters like Sareena, Quan Chi and Shinnok. 8/10
MKSF- Never played it, but looked awful. 0/10
MKDA- Great game, lots of new characters like Kenshi and Frost. Konquest was kinda bad and Mokap was a waste. 7.5/10
MKD- Hell yeah. Best game EVER. Hara-kiris, Puzzle Kombat and Chess Kombat and other new additions to the MK cast (Kira, Ashrah and Havik). 10/10
MKA- hmm... (Sees Rain's awesome new look and Fujin) Coming soon October
MKSM- Everything is great but the storyline. 8.5/10

Brutalities are easy. Only a certain amound of characters have brutalities that get picky with timing on certain parts, but man... I remember back in 1998, in Russia, EVERYONE knew EVERY brutality and could to it with their eyes closed. I feel so ashamed that I lost that ability.
MK1: 7/10
Fun game with 2 players. Got kinda boring with 1 player because limited playability. Goro was too easy to beat (at least on the PC version) with the jump kick, and Shang Tsung needed some crouching kicks :)
MK2: 9/10
Insanely fun. I killed my keyboard key labels playing this game with my brother. This is probably one of the most played games by me ever. Genesis version was way too easy. The original PC version (disk version I think) was crazy hard though, it was impossible to beat Kintaro on Very Easy. Against the AI, when you got too close to the enemy, they'd always throw your ass. And there were only limited credits (which IMO were an amazing concept, I honestly get bored with the newer games letting me play over and over, the limited credits gave you a natural timeline of when to give up, and then you would come back the next day and start from scratch-- it was also more nerve-wracking to know that you were on your last credit when you were on Kintaro or Shao Kahn) back then, very easy had 30 credits. I think I might have beat Kintaro two or three times, and I beat Shao Kahn only in one round. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that Kahn's Arena was incredible when you were facing Kahn/Kintaro with their cheering.
MK3: 7/10
Graphics looked cooler. Some characters were weird (Stryker, Sheeva). Run/Combo system was a mixed bag. It added a little more strategy, but I think it made fights too quick, and the dial-a-combo introduced some infinites or cheap combos here and there. It was annoying as hell to face Sheeva, and she'd always throw this 42% combo at you. That being said, I think this game was easier to beat than MK2 (at least the PC version). I thought that the backgrounds weren't too creative in this game (Balcony/Soulchamber felt like extensions of Goro's lair, Street/Bridge felt similar, etc). I think a lot of people got sick of MK at this point because it didn't really capture people's imagination like the fantasy worlds and stories in MK2.
UMK3: 7.5/10
Added new characters which was great, added some more diverse backgrounds, also a nice touch, some new combos as well.
MKT: 7/10
Fun, but broken gameplay, messed up graphics in some places (the pit), mixed up music, etc.
MKM: 6/10
Okay, so I never really played all of this game. I got bored pretty quickly during the first level since it was just annoying to avoid everything with perfect timing, and going back and doing it all over again from the start if you screw up.
MK4: 6/10
Nice to actually have a 3D MK game, but the voiceovers & screams were brutal (Raiden yelling "OW MY LEG!"? Gimme a break), the breakers were cartoonish, the animations were pretty bad. The game mechanic wasn't really 3D, and the throwing objects thing was pretty silly. I also hated the new announcer in this game, was total cheese compared to MK2/3.
MKG: 6.5/10
Okay, at least the graphics were half decent in this version, and they were trying to own up to their mistakes by bringing some stuff from the past, but even in doing so, they copped out by not remaking the new characters from scratch, but borrowing animations/body parts from other characters.
MKSF: 0/10
Oh the horror.
MKDA: ?/10
I've only played MKDA a few times so I can't really rate it.
MKD: 9/10
Most fun I've had with an MK game since MK2. Minigames/Konquest were great. Some people have problems with the fighting mechanics, but hey, if you are into perfectly balanced games, go for something else, MK is more about mindless fun. That being said, it would be nice if they did fix some of these glitches, but at the same time I wouldn't be abandoning the franchise either.
MKSM 8.5/10
Haven't played TOO much of SM yet, but it was incredible from what I've played so far. I really hope the secret game mode in MKA is related to this SM style of game play.

MK 1- 4/5 First fighting game with blood and fatalities got to love it.
MK 2 - 5/5 More fatalities and blood than ever before
MK3/UMK3/MK:T- 5/5 Fast paste fighting action, killer combos, and more fatalities
MK 4 - 2/5 Fun at first but when I go back to play it now it makes me think, What the hell where they thinking.
MK Deadly Alliance - 3/5 Great fighting styles and stuff but lack of fatalities and replay value
MK Deception - 2/5 This is just a weak ass clone of Deadly Alliance with different characters. Stage fatalities get annoying, Chess was a terrible idea, and..... This game just down right sucks..... Worst MK fighting game to date. Only reason it gets a 2 is because .. u guessed it Fatalities and Ermac the best character on the game.
