Scorpions real name is Takeda or something like that!
There is only one Shiari Ryn ninja to our knowledge in the whole Mortal Kombat saga, and that is Scorpion. There is a novel written by one of the co-writers of the original MK game, and it is simply called Mortal Kombat. The cover is the original MK Dragon symbol, and inside the cover is a miniposter of all MK1 combatants, plus the original Kung Lao. In chapter 12 Scorpion's real name is revealed in that book as Tsui Yong Park. I never ever said Takeda was Scorpion's real name. Takeda is the Lin Kuei Grandmaster according to Mortal Kombat Conquest. Plus in that same MK novel Sub-Zero's real name is revealed as Hanzo Hasashi, which many people believe is Scorpion's, but trust me it is not. The younger Sub-Zero's name is Hiro Hasashi. All of that information is revealed in the novel Mortal Kombat. Noob Saibot's clan was revealed to us in the Mortal Kombat Trilogy game if you beat the game with him, and choose his ending. It is the Brother of The Shadow, and Shinnok is who Noob Saibot worships, also told to us in Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
I found the Mortal Kombat novel in my collection of books, and I'd thought I'd give everyone the information in case they would like to get a copy of it, and read it for themselves. The novel is based on all the events leading up to the begining of the first tournament. Scorpion's name is revealed on page 153 chapter 19 to be Yong Park. In chapter 20, Yong Park is given the power to enact revenge of Hamachi (revealed in Chapter 17 page 144 to be Sub-Zero's real name) by the god of fire, Yu. Yong Park returns as Scorpion in the last page of Chapter 20. The novel is simply entitled "Mortal Kombat" subtitled at the top of the novel is a line reading: "The Untold Story of the heroes, and villains of Mortal Kombat--And how they became the most powerful warriors in the universe". This book was written by Jeff Rovin, and published in 1992 by Boulevard Media Tie-In books. It was only available to employees of Midway at first, but later on became available for everyone. Inside the cover is a mini poster with Goro, Shang Tsung, Sonya Blade, Kano, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, and another unknown warrior. It sold for $4.95 US and $6.50 Canadian. Hanzao Hasashi to my knowledge now is the younger Sub-Zero. Scorpion's son's name is also revealed in this novel, to be Tsui Park.
