Hows this For An Idea.

Take MK1 remake into new generation graphics add fighting styles and weapons
and still have same characters backgrounds bosses just redone into new gen systems & all secrets

Take All Classic MKs Remake in to new generation games

my point is make old games redone into this gen cosole graphics

I say no to the new graphics, fighting styles, and weapons.
Besides MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4 you can all play on ps2.

i would like them remake them but not having it affect the gameplay too much, like giving them fighting styles, that would ruin it. same fighting only better graphics.

Eh, i'd rather a much better version of trilogy. one where every version of every character from mk1-3 is on the board right from the start. i was a dissappointed to see that only four characters had previous versions of themselves present. I wanted to see MK1 Sonya up against Kabal, or MK2 Reptile against MK1 Reptile. Hell, why not throw in a MK1 Ermac as well, just for kicks. Sure it was just a glitch, but that's how Ermac began anyway.

They gave Rayden and Baraka run animations, they could do that with all the older ones as well, instead of that stupid fast walk they put on the older Kano, Jax, Rayden and Kung Lao. Both Kameleon and Chameleon in it would be nice also, rather than just the one.

Maybe they could throw in a few new palette swap characters as well. Preferably not from the male ninja or cyber ninjas. I think there'll be enough of them for forever. Maybe that red MK2 Kitana/Mileena glitch that some like to call Skarlett or Ruby. Or some other character that hasn't been colour swapped previously,

You know guys, all this talk about "I want a remake of MK1" and "Put the classic MKs in 3D" is really getting annoying. Midway is not going to do it. They're too lazy to provide their fans with stuff like that. Midway is one of those "out with the old and in with the new except for MAT" companies.

I don't think it's the fact that Midway is too lazy or whatever to do this. I think it just shouldn't be done at all. These games are classic. Leave them alone. Back in the day when they first came out, they WERE cutting edge. If you want an MK with better graphics, more fighting styles, etc... you have that. MK: DA and MK: D should suffice just fine. Leave the classics alone.

To be honest, a remake would be an utter waste of bytes, MK Gold was the closest to that therefore I'd consider it already done. Instead of a remake, I'm all for something like a new (and 100% arcade-looking) w32 port (the old one is really lame for today's standards) plus a public source code so nice stuff can be tweaked and added to make it more eye candy and don't forget about the mods!.

Anyhow, that's not going to happen, we must stick to Fastmame grin

Read my post in "What MK game did you grow up on"! I was saying that
they could make new sidescrollers where the old ones left off; like if a
game stopped at four before going 3D; make game 5 with better graphics
and a soundtrack of new artists. I also said they could use pictures and
video instead of animation, like they did in the old MK games, but with
better cameras than they used back then. What do you think?sleep

The cameras used back then were good enough for the job, it's just that they had to reduce the color depth because of the limitations of the arcade hardware. Anyhow, that zero's spine rippin fatality should absolutely replace the stupid ice ball throwing one. MK2 has certain "redundancies" that could be modified or simply eliminated. Another nice one would be the sub-zero's freeze; frozen oponents look better in MK, MK2's are too blue for my taste, the effect hardly resembles ice.

MORTAL KOMBAT: PRELIMINARIES. all 7 original characters plus a bunch more. I have ideas for characters like Art "Nimbus" Lean, either Jarek or a new character biker, a russian, Jake and Sparky (noob Smoke style or selectable alone), Lance from comic, and more. Goro, Shang, Reptile, and Ermac are unlockable

You know, some games make good remakes, but MK wouldn't. There are just some things that you don't touch. The magic just wouldn't be the same.

No more characters or powers or anything new in MK and MK2 for me, but there are a few details that cound be improved without destroying the identity of the original games.

Id say, have a MK Kollection Game come out with MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3, MKT, MK4 and MK Gold, keep them just like they are but Add Online play to all of them. Now that would kick ass.

The reason they are called classics is because everyone loves them so much like an old classic car that's hard to find. We still do not have a 100% arcade perfect port for home systems yet, so they're still clasiics in my opinion. Leave them as they are. smile

MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3, and MK4 should all be in one disc. Online play should be included.

It should be called Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kompilation.
