shadow kick

I was playing MK2 for SNES yesterday and I was fighting the mirror match as johnny cage. I did the shadow kick a bunch of times in a row, and the last time the shadow was red instead of green. Anybody else ever see this before or was i just imagining it?

Thats normal. I beleive the Red Shadow kick only happens after some long tiem has passed in the match, or after U perform many shadow kicks.

Ive done it a lot of times.
