I just thought of something. Shao Kahn's mask is a skull, and I always wandered where he got the skull. Since it is a real skull, I am making a theory that the skull mask came from the skull of the beheaded King Jerrod when he invaded the realm of Edenia. I figure that since Kahn only 'successfully' invaded and conquered one realm, he got the skull mask from the skull of King Jerrod, and assuming that he did not have the skull mask before he invaded Edenia and murdered Kitana's parents. It does make sense.
