What relations do you see Shao Kahn having to each of the main good guys? Seeing as how he's generally speaking, the main villian of the series (well in MK2 and MK3 he was)
Shao Kahn-Raiden: Rivals/Arch-enemies, Raiden is the ultimate good in Mortal Kombat, while Shao Kahn is the ultimate evil. They are just like Yoda and the Emperor from Star Wars. Raiden knows that Shao Kahn is a threat to the realms that must be stopped and Kahn knows that Raiden will always be a thorn in his side in his attempts for Earthrealm.
Shao Kahn-Liu Kang: Arch-enemies, I think that Liu Kang's hatred for Kahn is intense, to the point where he'd consider killing him if he got the chance, because of what he did to Kitana and then when Kahn took the souls of all those on Earthrealm... and then especially when Kahn apparently killed Kung Lao. I think Liu Kang hates Kahn's guts more than anyone else. Kahn sees Liu Kang as an annoyance, but yet could see him as a worthy adversary and welcome the opportunity to battle who he might consider his "equal". I could see their relationship being like Link-Ganon in the Legend of the Zelda games. Minus the Triforce bond thing.
Shao Kahn-Kung Lao: Nothing much here, except for a basic "I hate you and you hate me."
Shao Kahn-Kitana: As many have said, I think Kahn may have cared for Kitana at first, but when she betrayed him, I'm sure he resented her, but maybe respected that she fully turned. Kitana might've loved Kahn when she believed herself to be his daughter, but after learning the truth, she despised Kahn. If Liu Kang is Link and Kahn is Ganon then I see Kitana being Zelda. (Though once again, minus the Trifoce bond thing)
Shao Kahn-Johnny Cage: I think Cage would make fun of Kahn, but Kahn probably doesn't respect Cage enough to call him by his name. I see Kahn referring to Johnny Cage as "the stupid one."
