If you are REALLY into MK2 and MK3, then yes. Some of the other games are fun, especially Primal Rage. Which system would you be getting it on?

It has a good controller for MK. If you are really into the classic games, go ahead and get it.

omg i hate Primal Rage. thats the only game i owned for SNES besides the MK games. omg that is like the worse fighter ever!

anyways if ur getting it for MK2 and 3 and not the other games then id say no its not worth getting. not unless u plan on playing them with a friend or some one often. i dunno bout u but for me atleast nowadays with online play its like no one wants to play offline multiplayer. so what u should do is just download them for FREE and play them ONLINE on Kaillera useing MAME 32 Version 0.64 . i play MK2 and UMK3 online as well as other games like Rampage Wolrd Tour, TMNT, ect.

LOL, yeah actually Primal Rage for SNES plays slightly BETTER than the arcade version IMHO.

I feel that the extras included on MAT2 are ok, but more would have been nice (more artwork/flyers at least).
Basically I'm an emulator/rom freak, but will gladly buy classic game compilations if they are offering a lot of games, accurate emulation, a low price, and some decent extras. If emulators didn't exist, MAT2 would definately be a steal at only $20 new.

I wish you could get into the audit screens and IN GAME dip switch settings (not the ones on the menu/GUI), though, especially for MK2. I liked doing that the first time I downloaded the arcade rom and saw the "Kano Transformation" counter. I even fooled a friend with it telling him they were real, lol.

Nintendo should take a lesson from Midway, Atari, Activision, etc. and start releasing compilations instead of charging $20 for an NES game put onto a GBA cartridge and junk like that.

BTW, if you haven't heard yet, MAT3 is going to be horrible. Only 8 games, all racers. I bought MAT1 and MAT2, I will most certainly not buy 3. They could have easily given us War Gods at least or something (even though it's horrible), and the unreleased arcade version of Bio Freaks (again, horrible).

only reason you should buy MAT2 is...
Total Carnage (awesome control with the 2 joysticks)
MK2 (even tho sound sux still a pretty good copy)
Narc
Gauntlet 2

other than that fuck it, cuz MK3 is garbage on there and the rest of the games are pretty stale. if you like those 4 games go ahead and grab it for the ps2.

btw-it dont get any worse than primal rage
