Don't buy a ps2,I have a ps2 right home now playing deadly alliance and all that's great about it is the controlpad,the graphics sucks,don't buy no memorycard,don't buy no adaptor,just buy a xbox.

I agree with Siduu. If want the most out of a game, you should get an xbox. Many games are only for PS2, I know, but the Xbox makes up for it for games like Ninja Gaiden and Halo. Plus, the Xbox always is compatible with HD, and you should play Mortal Kobat with a HD television, trust me, it feels so slick and looks so nice. So save your money and Buy an xbox, and if you already have an xbox, save up for a psp and/or nintendo DS.

If you do buy one get one for a cheap price because remember Playstation 3 is comming soon. and it will be better than X-Box.

Sometime next year. I don't think you should get a PS2 now, because the PS3 will be coming out soon. But if you want to get one the the game systems, go right ahead. If you would get one, Xbox is the ticket.

I believe Playstation 3 will be at E3 showroom next year 2005.
