Wouldn't everyone here buy a disc with those games with online play? And maybe like a quarter/credit system (although you dont have to pay real money, but maybe an alottment per half hour or something i donno)....and tournaments and rankings etc

theres a program called MAME which allows you to emulate a lot of arcade games, mortal kombat 1 all the way to ultimate mortal kombat 3 being some of them. You can play them online that way using kailerra, which is just as good because you dont have to pay or anything. read up on it smile

If you have a fast computer and a cable modem (with a server under 50ms) the games will play fine online, as long as Mame doesn't have beef with your video card. They are official arcade versions of the games. There's nothing closer because they are in fact the same data. I play people every night with near perfect netplay conditions. Best you're going to get without going to someone's house or meeting them at an arcade.

Matt
By the way, use MAME32k 0.64 for MK gaming.
The newer MAME online versions run the MK games slower.

they cant make those games online because if they do, the super mega fun time bonus collectors edition disk with comemberal spoon wront sell well for the $70 aditional fee when purchased with re-packaged addition deadly alliance with all new fully doubly digital remastered audio and video with extra bonus footage not seen in theaters.

Skimming the boards this morning and suddenly I remembered that last night I dreamed I was playing against MK2KungBroken online on MAME.confused That's kinda creeping me out.

Methinks I'm hanging around these boards a little TOO much...
