I prolly started playing MK when you were still trying to give up diapers. This is my first MK forum experience, even though I've been around forums and usenet groups for ages. Those guys' knowledge on MK doesn't shine a bit, they may have thousansd of posts on the road, but that obviously doesn't qualify them as "gurus" on MK matters. Mastering comes by knowledge not trolling.

Everything in MK and MK2. Personally, I'm not a very good fan of running or prefab sequences. The gameplay in the first 2 MK's was more relaxed and interesting, MK3 just made it quite complex, yet predictable and linear (paralyze, run and connect combo). Guess that's just my opinion, but that's what forums are mostly about, opinions.

They count as valid points because they do exist, take part of the game, relate to the questions and nobody specified exceptions in any of them. These games have been widely reviewed and analyzed, whatever stated wasn't going to be new or relevant anyways (guess who came up with a totally useless feature essay as there weren't thousands out there ahah), I just pointed out the lil details which if compiled, can make or destroy a game and certainly, they seem to be all up for the second one. That's your way of interpreting the question, I didn't read any of these in the original post, anyhow, for those not aware of what they are talkig about, my first reply: *The PC version for MKT has plenty of flaws, from old characters executing combos and brutalities without new frames, to missing fatalities for some of them (which doesn't stop the game from making the screen darker and display "Fatality" afterward). Don't get me started with the mediocre graphics. This game is basically a "put as many characters as you can and don't give a damn about anythihng". Versions ported to other systems are a bit more polished but still garbage*.
