Why did Midway change Liu Kang's MK1 arcade drop fatality to a MK2 arcade drop fatality in the Super Nintendo versions of MK3/UMK3?

it was more than likely changed because of memory limitations. instead of puttin another graphic of an arcade machine (the mk1 machine) they used the mk2 machine to save space. the snes and genesis versions had to cut corners to get the more important things on the cart. which is why stages and certain sounds and animations is missing as well.
