This may sound nOObish, but in the MK:DA opening movie it showed liu kang performing a kata and kung loa watching, but where as kung loa when quan chi and shang attacked? This may have already been asked, but I've always wondered.

Its quick so a lot of ppl miss it. Kung Lao morphs into Shang, it was Shang all along.

its not that quick, perhaps u heard a noise and turned ur head at the time. i never missed it.

but to keep this fun thread going, since u missed that, i bet u didn't know that liu kang was doing one of johnny cage's fighting stances. just something to think about, like what liu would have donw if he was in mkda

I am guessing that it was shang tsung that morphed into kung lao. It shows Kung lao walking towards him and shang tsung appearing in his place.
