Sweet Secret Screen from MKII

So one day a few years ago , I was playing a MKII cabinet at this pizza store while a waited. Well after I got my ass kicked by Mileena, I saw a wierd screen that said something like "Mortal Kombat III?"

I guess it was a hidden message talking about mk 3 right? Im sure someone here has seen it but, Ive been playin since i was 6 and that was my first time ever seeing it....

That's why I'm into Mortal Kombat, I love secret mysteries like that, but to answer your question, I think that may be the result of a very overactive imagination. Maybe a dream that you thought was real, or maybe a daydream.

By the way a daydream is not to far off the solution. So yeah, I'm not insulting you, I'm just trying to resolve what could it be that you saw. If indeed that is what you saw, then that is one hell of a find!

I wish there was no more to come though, MK 2 is the end in my eyes, what the fuck was MK 3 all about ?!?! no ninjas = n

Yeah I have seen that same screen.
I do believe it was added in a updated rom
sorta speak. Cause like you I didnt see it
for ever then years later I seen it in one of thoses
100 game type games at the end of a loss.

Yep,the screen does exist,i've seen it in the MK2 arcade machine years ago,i don't remember the conditions to see that secret game over screen,whatever,the image is this:

MK1 also had a different game over screen: It showed the pit stage.
