There are three rules for doing scientific research. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.

Greetings,

My youngest brother and I had a discussion about these SMs. I take it everyone here knows that some powerups are faster/better than others. It may be that such a thread has been posted before but I'd like to know the rankings in terms of both length and power of these SMs (I excluded reversals and shoves since they seem to be the same everywhere).

I have some ideas myself but I'd first like to read the opinions of others.

Peace,
Q

The best Neijin (power-up) goes to either Nitara or Drahmin. I think Drahmin also has a very strong taunt; but it does have the drawback of being a slow animation, making it very hard to do too many of them.

I agree with XcarnageX on Nitara (well..) since I usually only use powerups with her and its very effective leading into her 1,1,3,5,2,Unicorn kick combo. glasses At least I think its 113...well on those lines.

besides the hyper taunts...the most useful are li mei's auto taunt and reptiles auto push. their the only two characters to have an automatic move like that. kitana does it as well, but hers is useless as the opponent is on the floor.

Could you explain please?? I have never heard of auto taunt nor auto push and to be honest I don't like Li Mei so I have not mastered her moves and skills yet.

Sub-Zero's Nejin hardly does shit to amplifiy his moves! Seriously, power up in Dragon, then use the cold shoulder. Then use Sonya, power up, and do the flying kick, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

you mean you dont know about that? i bet you do but dont know that you know..lol

they are the only two characters that have a taunt and a push as part of a combo.

after you impale your opponent with li mei, do her normal style branch combos..like 4-4-cs-b+1-cs.
since you dont have her weapon anymore, it automaticaly taunts with out pressing sm.

it also works with lui he ba fa....1-1-2-b+1-cs..any combo that branches into her weapon.

and with reptile, after a impale..do his normal style branch...1-3-4-cs-1-b+2-cs...since he no longer has his weapon, it automaticaly does his push move with out pushing the sm button.

kitana does this as well, but its useless cause the last hing she does before changing into her weapon stance is a knockdown.

Thanx scorpio, I didn't know that.

I just wanted to say, escapes leave you open to impales. Good to know. Never escape against Kitana, instant death.

Also power-up or taunt after fake stunner moves, those moves that look like you are stunned but they can still block.

I think Best Power Ups are:

1-Nitara
2-Drahmin
3-Sonya

The Worst is Sub-Zeros, very weak.

Sub's powerup works well with short combos like (Dragon d+2, 1,2,b+2 into wall = 36%)...but yeah it's the worst.

sad

And I think that Drahmin's PU is better than Nitara's simply because there are more options and setups with it.

But like Sonya, you can do Subs power-up in combos. Which is a big bonus.

Heh yeah Drahmin rocks the house. The powerup needs to be well-placed, however... Nitara has chances of an instant kill of her powerup is executed properly (I dislike Nitara's styles but to face those 70+ combos is... quite an embarrassing experience, because I *know* how to counter or block that stuff).

Kenshi's PU hasn't really been discussed. Where does his fall?

Peace,
