MK2 Kung Lao (MKT version = bloodier) Hat Slice - greatest fatality of all time.

Runner up is Quan Chi Leg Rip from MK4, I still LMAO when I see it.

Reptile's MKDA fatality, closely followed by Liu Kang's arcade machine fatality.

Scorpion's Pack Fatality(UMK3/MKT(N64)) followed by Sonya's Leg Grab Fatality(MK4) & Tanya's version of the Kiss Of Death(MK4)

I gotta go with Raidens MK1 fatality. When I first saw/heard that thing in the arcades, I was floored.

I 1000% totally agree. IMO, the best and most original of all and well-known is Subby's head-rip from MK1.

Johnny Cage's MK2 Torso rip comes in second.

Sub Zero's MK1 fatal, always so satisfying to pull against someone after you've beaten them (I really liked pulling it against Scorpion in MKM:SZ actualy.)

Cyrax's in MKDA. I hated almost all of DA's fatals, but I really, really like this one. It's just so gruesome...

MK1, Subbie's Head Spine rip, I see most you guys agree here.

MK2, This may not be bloody, but at the time it had the COOLNESS factor, Tsung's Soul Steal. I was shock, when I saw what the bodie look like when it was over.

MK3, Now this is hard, as most of them were sloppy(But it is a good game anyway) But I think I go with Sheeva's Bone Skin rip one here.

MK4, Subbie's Spine Rip again, But more bloody and looks more cool in the 3 d Thing.

MK5, Cage gets his first with his Head Smash thingie.

MK6 mmm, many to choose from. I think one of Kira's was cool, the knife in the foot thing, and ripping off the top part of the body.

Spine rip in MK1 and Shang Tsungs soul steal in both MK2and MKDA

I have to go with the golden standard on this one and say Sub-Zero's head rip on MK1. However, the deep-freeze he had in MK2 was fun to do. Cage's torso rip was also spectacular.

Kano's MKI Heart Rip... the only 2D fatality I've ever squirmed at.

Definitely Kung Lao's hat slice fatality from MK2.

mk1= sub spinal cord
mk2= lui kangs dragon fatality i remember seeing a pic of it in a magazine before i actually saw it and when i did it was impressive its probaly my fav next to kung laos split slice.

mk3= cyrax helicopter blades i remember the first time i did it at arcades i was so happy and i think its the most creative one in mk3.

The spine pull from MK1 is the defining fatality of the whole series, IMHO. The others were gory and such, but it was the first to be visually-striking and completely over-the-top in that destinctively MK way.

Definitely Kung Lao Hat Slice from MK2 not Part3 (Which was crap)

No same frames here, every opponent had to be re-done for the Fatality.

I'd have to say that Kung Lao's Slice Fatality in MK2 was awesome. The first time i saw my friend do that, i almost crapped! To think that they could do that. I also thought that Barakas Stab fatality was pretty cool in MK2, but only for SNES, cause the Genesis version sucked.

MK2 Scorpions fatality where he cuts his opponent's throat and slices them in half. That is the ALL TIME best fatality.

My personal all time favorite is Kung Lao's verticle hat slice from MK2. I also love how they've done it now in 3D in Shaolin Monks.

well the obvious choice is sub-zero's spine fatality for all time wise... it's one of the most known fatalitys out there... there was huge controversy over it back in the day when it was comming to sega genesis etc. ;) theres quite a few good ones to choose from but i had to take sub-zero's spine fatality if i had to choose one.
