MK1 brings back so many memories for me. Ah the days when all it was to stroll into the arcade with a bit of cash that you've saved and play Mortal Kombat. Such nostalgia :)

MK2 was too slow. It looked nice, had cool lookng characters and stages and had good music, but the gameplay was a turtlefest. It needed more speed and needed damage protection.

If MK2 had something like a run button, or even a cancelable dash, it would have been 100% cooler, but MK, trying to stay away from being like SF, gave their characters "run" instead of dash as a way to speed up gameplay.

MKT. MK2 is really fun as well. Even MK1 is still fun today. sometimes i even play MK Gold just to.
