Well, MK could have been much better...very basic. MK2 was spectacular...

I prefer Pit Fighter, which was the true first MK game. Factually Innacurate.

Well MK2 did bring something new to the table. I mean it had better graphics then MK1. It had good characters. It had plenty of secrets.

MK1 brings back so many memories for me. Ah the days when all it was to stroll into the arcade with a bit of cash that you've saved and play Mortal Kombat. Such nostalgia :)

For nostalgia,MK 1 does rule.MK 2 is my favorite though

no umk3 is definetly the best one. in terms of gameplay that is and thats what makes a game

I thought MK T was horrible. MK 2 owns all of you.

MK2 was too slow. It looked nice, had cool lookng characters and stages and had good music, but the gameplay was a turtlefest. It needed more speed and needed damage protection.

If MK2 had something like a run button, or even a cancelable dash, it would have been 100% cooler, but MK, trying to stay away from being like SF, gave their characters "run" instead of dash as a way to speed up gameplay.

UMK3 and Greatest Hits PSX MKT all the way.

MKT. MK2 is really fun as well. Even MK1 is still fun today. sometimes i even play MK Gold just to.

MK 1 Had better play IMO but MK2 Had better story/warriors/bosses/secrets.
