this has to be the best glitch ever! just during a fight(usually when things get intense) the game goes in slow motion..matrix style, it just makes the fights look cooler

what do u think of the slow motion thing?

Slow motion is good as a glitch. I am just afraid MK will attempt to copy the Matrix in the future, as so many other movies/games have done. The effects are really being over used in society, but glitches are unintentional, so that to me wouldn't take away from MK's originality.

i agree with you 100%. it is a pleasant change from the fast paced fighting. very cool glitch, i just hope like you said the MK team doesn't abuse it in the future. God bless<><

uh, sounds like a frame rate issure, not a glitch. to much information = frame drop = slow motion. take that vid which garret had of the fight going on while in wire frame. when the water fall thingy appeared, the game slowed down. This is because water affects are intense to render in real time; and im sure that wire frame wasnt' helping much tongue. same goes for any environmental effect, or any intense background animation, all of which create slowdown/frame rate drop.

its not really random. it depends on the character, the arena, the placement of the characters, and the moves you perform.

pick scorpion and fight raiden or reptile at the drum arena. get as close to the drummer (not the drumer with the big drum, the ones that are standing on platforms) put their back up aginst the wall. do the combo: (ninja sword)4-1-1-3-back flip kick. when scorpion attempts the kick while the opponent is in air, the game slows down.

to get super slow motion raiden vs raiden at the lava shrine. get the opponents back up aginst the "wall" to the left of the dragon egg. walk so the camera faces the opposite side and do raidens biggest combo. the game slows down a bunch.

yes, but was just saying it doesnt have to be a random thing. you can make it go in slow motion.

Yeah, what version does it happen on? If it only happens on the PS2 version, that might explain why I've never seen it, playing it on cube and all...

I own the PS2 version as well, and I've seen it a lot too. It seems like its just a processing issue. I talked to Ray a while back about it and it's most likely from the use of weapons in an arena with lots of particles like the drum arena which has blowing dust and moving people in the background.

No biggie, I was actually suprised to see a drop in frame rate in a console game. confused

Nope, never seen it... but when a statue gets smashed infront of the camera my game slows down though... I have the X-box PAL version, I remeber that somebody said that it had 2 do with some setting in the X-box menu, somebody explain plz...

I would imagine it's when you turn your X-Box on with no game in it, and you have the option of 50Hz and 60Hz.

I have the Xbox version of the MKDA and it has never slowed down. Its not a glitch at all but I also think it has to do with the frame rate.
