First let me get my major gripe with the game out of the way:

If you customize your UMK3 controls, the move display doesn't reflect your button layout changes. The move list always displays with the default controls in mind. I always play MK with:

Y - HP
X - LP
B - HK
A - LK
L - RUN
R - BLOCK

So the movelist can be confusing when you customize the controls to your liking. Another issue is that the move list doesnt invert in direction when you switch sides of the screen. You also can't pause the game and look at the move list at the same time since a new menu pops up.

Other than that it's a great port with fluid gameplay and responsive controls. The graphics look almost arcade perfect - the backgrounds have a little color loss, and there's a small bit of character pixelation. The interface is nice, as is all the extra content and online play. Plus it comes MKD's puzzle fighter. Gotta say I'm pretty pleased with the overall package.
8.5/10
